 The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Only Raevyn's quick reflexes saved him from being puked on. He made a face, clapping his hands over his ears. He hated that sound. Seeing her cleaning it up, he sighed and told her gently. "Ash, you're in no shape to go to school." Before she could protest, he picked her up carefully, carrying her bridal style. "Back to bed." He said, carrying her to the bedroom. He put her back on the bed, pulling the blanket over her. "Just go back to sleep."
((Apparently.....And speaking of sleep, that's where I'm heading. Night!))  The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel frowned as she was placed into the bed. "I'm perfectly fine! I can go to school!" She protested, almost immediately sitting up. It was apparent that she'd never really taken a sick day- at all -from school. To her, illness was irrelevent when it came to schooling or work. No, it did not prevail. At this point, she attempted to get up and out of the bed again.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn matched Ashriel's frown. He put his hand on her chest, right below the collarbone, and pushed her back down. "No." He told her firmly. "Ashriel, you just threw up all over the kitchen floor. You're not okay and you're not going to school." His tone said he would accept no arguing. Raevyn could be just as stubborn as her when he put his mind to it. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel pouted, staying down now. "Fine. I suppose I can stay home..." She said quietly, although she planned to get right back up and leave as soon as he was gone. That's what she'd always done when her parents left her home sick. She couldn't stand staying away from school or work, feeling horribly guilty each time she did.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Good." Raevyn said, though he didn't believe her for a minute. He tucked her into bed then left the room, heading to the living room. There he picked up the phone and could be heard calling someone. His voice was too soft to make out the words clearly. When he finally hung up, there was silence for awhile as he set to work cleaning up the kitchen. Finished that, he went and opened the front door then closed it again. Silently, he tiptoed back to the living room to sit on the couch and wait. He was sure Ashriel was about to be stupid again. The tiger that should be....isn't....

As soon as she heard the door shut, Ashriel hopped out of the bed, rushing to get ready for school. In under ten minutes, she was fully ready and grabbing her lunch to walk out the door.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn sat still as a statue, watching Ashriel rush around. As she headed for the door, he chose that time to speak up. "Going somewhere?" He asked, his voice cool. "Not to school, I would hope as you've already been called in sick." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel cringed, turning around to look at Raevyn. "Don't you have to go to school?" She asked, changing the subject almost immediately. Her intentions were to go to school, one way or another. She'd gone before after her parents called her in sick. In fact, last time she'd actually missed school was when she was five. That was before she'd started walking.

Ashriel frowned. "Not until you answer my question." She said flatly, looking back at him. The girl didn't care that she was sick, she still had to go to school. No excusing missing it, to her. Besides, it wasn't like she was gonna be able to get notes from Jen or Lix.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "I have already missed several days due to the fact that I couldn't hold onto a human form. One or two more days will not matter." Raevyn told her bluntly. "Now, I've answered your question so get back to bed. One way or another. He gestured towards the bedroom once more, rising as he did so. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel frowned. That meant he was willing to stay and make sure that she didn't try to go to school. She walked reluctantly back to her room, setting her bags in the kitchen on her way. Ash sat on her bed, knowing that there weren't too many logical ways around him.

Amber eyes watched her carefully. "And whatever you're planning, don't do it. Just sleep and get better." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel rolled her eyes, laying down. "I still don't get why I can't go in to school. It's just a little stomach upset. Nothing big." She said simply, before rushing into the bathroom to vomit again.

"Because I'm sure the teachers would appreciate their desks to be vomit free." His voice was carefully bland, as if he was trying not to laugh at her. The tiger that should be....isn't....
