"O-o-oh." Hiccup. "K-k-kay." Ashriel cried towards the door. Her tears dripped down her face rapidly. Her face was a brilliant red as she continued to hiccup.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn quietly opened the door and slipped inside. He felt his heart clench as he saw the tears streaming down her cheeks. He sank to his knees beside Ashriel, drawing her into a hug, trying to give what comfort he could. "I'm sorry." He whispered. "I shouldn't have said anything...." She didn't need him saying things like that when she was already sick. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at him, feeling him draw her near to him. "N-n-no it's not your fau-ault." She stuttered, hiccuping as she spoke. "J-just me b-being st-stup-p-pid again." Her eyes looked at him, still having tears flow out of them.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Shhh....." Raevyn rocked her soothingly. "Just relax. It'll all be okay." He murmured, wiping away her tears as they fell. "No need to play the blame game. Just relax." He kept his voice low and soft, trying to comfort the girl. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel quieted slowly, still hiccuping as tears continued to flow down her cheeks. At least now they had slowed a large percentage to a gentle roll. Her stomach was full of butterflies, but she didn't exactly feel sick. She had been stressing herself out beyond necessity...much too much.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "That's right. Just relax. Nothing to worry about." Raevyn continued to talk softly. He wasn't really saying much of anything, merely talking. He knew animals responded to a soothing voice, even if they couldn't understand, so he was hoping the same thing would hold true here. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel's breathing slowed rapidly, and soon the same had happened now as did the day before when she cried. She fell into a gradual sleep, her body worn down.
As soon as Ashriel was fully asleep, her phone began ringing.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn jumped as her phone started ringing. He cursed and let go of Ashriel, leaning her against the counter. He rose and hurriedly ran for the phone, not wanting it to wake her when he'd just gotten her asleep. "Listen to me. I sound like a parent." He muttered to himself then answered the phone. "Hello?" The tiger that should be....isn't....

Jennalin was on the other side of the phone. "What's going on? Why isn't Ash here? She's never not been here before!" Basically, Jen sounded like she was freaking out. Like she thought something was genuinely wrong. "You didn't hurt her, did you? TELL THE TRUTH!" She practically growled into the phone.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... ((Totally knew it. And I was getting to it. I have quite a few rp's to post in.))
He winced at the volume of her voice. "Shh! Calm down and keep your voice down!" Raevyn hissed at her. "Please! I just got her back to sleep. She wasn't feeling well this morning and threw up so I made her stay home, alright? Asides from a little touch of the flu, she's absolutely fine." He explained hastily, not wanting Jennalin mad at him. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Jennalin's voice seemed startled as she spoke again, quieter this time. "How'd you convince her to stay home? I used to tie her to the bed the night before...that never worked." For some reason, it sounded like Jen was being completely serious.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn breathed a sigh of relief as Jennalin quieted down. He glanced towards Ashriel, making sure she was still sleeping. "I picked her up and put her in bed." He told her simply. "I just quite simply didn't let her get up." He made it sound like such an easy thing. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel, in her sleep, managed to turn from where he'd leaned her and a big bang was heard from the bathroom- one which Jennalin could hear as well. "What was that?" Jen said into the phone, her voice suspicious.
Ash had managed to wrap a towel around her hand, bang the towel into the toilet, and fall hard onto the floor, all in one move. Luckily, there wasn't any blood.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn jumped at the sound of the bang. He groaned as he saw that she'd fallen. "It's alright. She just fell. No blood. Hang on a sec." He hurried to the bathroom and cradled the phone between his shoulder and ear. Carefully, he gathered up Ashriel in his arms. "Back to bed with you." He murmured, carrying her back to the bedroom and laying her down. Tucking her in, he retreated to the living room. "Sorry Jen. Was just putting her back to bed." The tiger that should be....isn't....
