Wouldn't the query we're answering actually be decided on who's the person they're with? Like, the avi above could be a fairy. But if the other person was a butterfly, the fairy would be the dominant one, correct? So, I ask, who are we comparing to? That being said, I'm comparing the above to the incredible hulk. Submissive.

You certainly have a skewed sense of logic. It's not a question of who the avatar is compared to -- it's a matter of the dress, theme, and manner of the avatar that decides whether it is overall submissive or dominant. With your fairy and butterfly example, both would be submissive. There's no scale on how submissive/dominant an avatar is or isn't. Avatars are just one or the other. The issue with comparing to such an extreme is that your results will be inaccurate and you'll end up looking like a fool for using bad judgement.
