"Johnny was scared to death. I mean it. He was as white as a ghost and his eyes were wild-looking, like the eyes of an animal in a trap." (p. 54)

I'm back.
I find it intriguing that of all of the people so far that Ponyboy has described the eyes of... none of them are green eyed. In fact, the only green eyed person in the story is Ponyboy. Well.. at least so far. Who knows if I end up finding descriptions of other green eyed folks or not.
I also find it interesting that there doesn't seem to be any brown eyed folk. The described eyes are either blue or gray.
Makes me wonder why certain eye colors are described, but the others aren't...

*waits for dinner to finish heating up* *listens to "King of Anything" by Sara Bareilles on the radio* You know when you're a faniac of BBC Sherlock when... you think of the episode "A Study In Pink" when Sherlock and Watson are waiting in the restaurant and the way their sitting matches up with the lyrics:
Keep drinkin' coffee Technically John is eating food from the restaurant Stare me down across the table While I look outside Sherlock sits facing towards the window to keep an eye out for a cab of the person who has the Pink lady's phone
So many things I'd say if only I were able But I just keep quiet Watson is mostly talking during the scene; Sherlock barely responds - sometimes leading to amusing commentary And count the cars that pass by Once again - Sherlock's watching for the cab
You've got opinions, man Can relate to the discussion Watson starts We're all entitled to 'em But I never asked
So let me thank you for time And try to not waste any more of mine Get out of here fastSherlock notices a waiting cab; they take off after it
*dinner's done heating* I'm off. Be back in a bit.
