"Sara!" Sara turned quickly at the sound of her name, so happy to see it was her parents. She ran to them and they all embraced when they reached each other. Now they were together, it felt slightly better. They all stopped though as there was a sound above them, the intercom coming on.
"This is your captain speaking. I must inform everyone that there is a leak on the ship and we need to evacuate. Everyone please act calmly. On every level of the ship there are three closets full of life jackets. I ask you please put on a jacket, there should be enough for everyone, and exit onto the life boats. Once again, please be calm and act in an orderly manner. All staff will be assisting you." The intercom went off and all was quiet for a few seconds as everyone on the ship processed what was happened. Then all chaos broke loss.
There was more screaming, and pushing as everyone tried to find a life jacket closet. Sara and her parents all held hands, desperate not to lose each other in the noise and crowd. Somehow they all got life jackets and put them on making their way onto the deck of the ship. "It's empty!" She heard someone yell behind her as they walked. She hoped there were enough life jackets for everyone.
The deck was soaked and so hard to walk on that most were slipping and falling. There looked to be only a few staff around actually trying to help, most were no where to be seen. Sara glanced at all the lifeboats and felt her heart beat faster. From the amount of boats and the amount of people that were all pushing to escape, there seemed to be too few boats. She glanced at the water and swallowed. Even if you got a boat, the water looked horrid, as if it would eat the little boats and spit them back up. Was this how she was going to die? Drowned, 17 years old. She did not want it to end this way.

Hearing the message through the com, Amber pushed herself out of her closet and pulled the door open, seeing mayhem streaming quickly within the hallway as staff members were screaming, trying to get everyone calm. The floors were filled with life vests, seeing everyone grab for them as quickly as they could and some even fighting over some. Seeing one slide to her feet, Amber reached down for it as quickly as possible but saw another hand going for it. They both stopped and looked at it. It was that child again. Frowning, Amber picked up the vest and pulled it on the child, buckling up for the poor little boy. "Stay with me...!" Amber held onto the child's hand, looking for another vest she could get her hands on.

When the message went out over the intercom hell broke loose, every other passenger in the hall stampeded towards the closets. Leo just froze up, there was no way he could run all the way to his cabin and back up to get into a life boat, and his parents would have left before he got there, either to look for him or to get off the ship. He had to get a life jacket now. The closet in the hall was already empty, and the next one further on, the last closet had a few left, so he slipped it on as he kept running. When he made it up on deck he saw just how terrible the storm was. Below the thunder was low a drone up here the sky was calling for death. The crowds were gathered up around the sides, all pushing to fit into too few life boats, but there should be more further up deck. If he could get there before the crowds began moving he would be in a life boat, for better or for worse.

Michael rose from his seat. well, rather, he was thrown to the floor first, THEN stood up, shakily. he took in the sounds of the announcement, and instinctively pulled out his phone. he wasn't sure if this would send, but he quickly pounded in the words 'in trouble. you know what to do.' and hit send. His parents, back home, knew what to do if Mike ever got into some sort of danger. he'd said long ago that they'd get all his money if, god forbid, he were to...
he shook his head. now was not the time to think about that. right now, he needed to act. there was no doubt a swarming mob of people out in the corridor's of the ship, so he needed to be smart, be quick, and be ready for anything. he burst out into the corridor, and tried to make his way through the swarm he'd predicted. 'lifejackets...' he thought to himself. 'where are they...?' he was soon able to find one, in an oddly empty part of the ship. he'd gotten the last one in the particular unit. he quickly turned around, looking for the lifeboats. a quick glance into the waters below made his heart, and stomach, sink. the water had gotten out of control. he couldn't fathom how it had gone from placid and beautiful a few hours ago to the death trap below him now. he shook his head, and adjusted his glasses. he had to get to a lifeboat. fast. he began to push his way through the confused crowd of people, a look of determination on his face.

Walking on the deck, Amber did her best to not slip, even so, there were a few times when she caught herself losing her balance on the wet ship. Rain poured hard and the waves roared monstrously. A while back, Amber had luckily found a vest and already buckled it on, but even if it was for safety, it made carrying the child around a pain since it took up so much space. She looked back at the indoors, thinking to herself where this child could have came from, after all, who would leave their child unattended on a cruise? ...what if his parents were looking for him? Amber's heart beat drowned out the screaming and crying as she made her way through people, trying to get into a life boat.
Even if there was practically no way to live... The storm roared viciously and thunder clapped with a loud boom. The waves looked as though they were ready to catch prey and the rain shot down like rocks. Amber stared at the waters as her wet hair clung to her face. ...she didn't want to die.

There were a lot of people where Sara was and she kept being pushed by other people. She cried out as she and her parents got separated, their hands slipping out of each other. She tried to push back to them and heard them calling her name but she wasn't strong enough to do it. She thought she was crying but it was so hard to tell when the rain was on her face, the salty water lapping at all on the ship.
Sara lost her footing as she felt someone grab onto the back of her life jacket and pull her. She screamed but her voice was lost in the chaos as she tried to escape. She looked behind, noticing it was a large man who had no life jacket. She squeaked as she realized her was trying to take hers.
"Get off!" She cried, swinging her arms and legs as he lifted her again. She squirmed harder as his hands searched for her buckles. "No!" She cried as her foot made contact in a place no guy wants to be kicked. He crumbled and she scrambled on her hands on knees unable to get a hold of anything to help her stand up. She sobbed and knew she was crying now. She was not going to survive this. She gasped as the ship tilted slightly and sent her tumbling into the side of the railing. Since she was on the floor she slipped underneath the railing but was able to grab onto it with her hands. She was hanging from the side of the boat, scared out her mind.
"Help!" She cried out, sobbing and trying to keep her grip. The railing was so wet and her hands were icy and having trouble holding on. Her one hand slipped and she gasped, trying to hold on.
((If anyone wants to help (you don't have to), I prefer it be one of the characters who know how to swim. Because anyone who's character does not know how swim, needs to go to a boat. By the way, if anyone comes to 'help' I've already decided Sara is falling off the edge razz If you help, you will most likely also))

Sara cried out happily as she saw someone yelling for her, someone leaning over the edge and wanting to help. She tried to reach up with her hand, but it fell back as a wave hit against her legs, slamming her into the side of the boat. She hit her head and nearly let go, but gripped with her one hand as hard as she could. She reached out again, still dizzy but her hand was so wet it slipped out of their grip before she could really grasp on. She tried again, making complete contact this time. She gave a cry of victory before she heard a noise behind her. She looked and gasped, a huge wave was approaching and she tried to climb back onto the boat, her feat scraping against the sides. "Hurry!" She screamed in desperation. If she didn't get back on board in time she, and maybe the girl, would be swept away.

Sara could feel trembling of her arms as she tried to get up the side of the boat. She could feel herself being lifted and she felt hope. She was so close, so close to being saved. But then she was engulfed. Slammed by a huge wave she fell, sucked into the unforgiving sea. She couldn't tell what was up, what was down, there was just the burning in her chest as she struggled. Soon her head broke water though, her life jacket had pulled her towards the surface. She sucked in the air but choked as she was hit with another wave. Kicking and trying to swim did nothing for her and so she just did what she could to stay above water, letting the waves take her where they wanted.

Albert stood inside a slowly-filling life boat, sweeping the rain out of his face as best he could, holding with one hand onto a rope as the boat tipped back and forth. The people swarming into the lifeboat he was helping a younger man hold up screamed in panic, and he sent them a whithiring look. How many young lives would be lost because of this storm? Families torn apart?
I can swim, Camila... But how many of these kids can't? He felt the boat shift, watching as the ship hand motioned for him to start lowering the boat down to the water. "It's only half full!" He shouted, looking at it in wonder. "We can fit more!" I'm not dying to save a half-boat load. He motioned for another family to get aboard the boat, holding his rope taut so that the boy holding the other side wouldn't be able to lower the life boat yet. He sent him a disapproving look (quite an accomplishment in all the chaos) and the boy settled down a bit.

The crowds weren't as thick on this end of the boat, but most of the life boats were being filled or deployed anyway. Struggling to stay on his feet Leo managed to make it to the nearest Life boat were a man was desperately trying to deploy it. When he hopped in he saw why the man was having problems. First he wasn't part of the staff, probably had no idea what to do in the first place, and second the ropes were hopelessly knotted and tangled. There was no way to quickly get the boat into the water, and the waves were getting larger. Best hope was to cut it, there was a knife in his multi-tool but with it being so small it would take a very long time to get through the rope, but he didn't have many options.
"Move over!" He shouted at the man, it took a few shouts just to be heard in the rain and thunder, once he moved Leo pulled out the knife and got to work. It was painfully slow, and the rocking boat and rain kept causing his hands to slip but he had to get working, he had a boat full of people depending on that now and his own life.

Jason felt his feet slip as he tumbled with the remaining crew and cruisers rushing about above deck. The life jacket was only hung loosely around his shoulders, as he had no way to buckle it. In fact, it was much too hard to run with it on. He passed it to a woman who didn't have one, at least she'd float. He'd swim if he had to.
Oh we're in a right fright for sure... He'd made his way about calmly, compared to the rest, and found himself helping others into boats, lifting children, the elderly, and women into boats if they needed a hand. His own safety hadn't been his concern. Now, handing a young woman her child over the edge of a boat piloted by an elderly man in a straw hat and a young porter, he found his hand held after he'd released hers. He glanced at the woman in confusion, trying to hear her over the rain.
'Come on! Get in!'
There was another seat left on the boat, and their section of the railing had been cleared, seeing as how they were the last boat to the stack. He was surprised at the gesture, though. He took it un-reluctantly, settling down and wondering if he should help the men trying to start the life boat downwards. They seemed to have it covered. "Thank you, ma'am."
---
Albert watched as the boat finally filled, and then lifted his gaze to the porter holding the other rope. He waited for the boy to give the accent, but found he had to do it instead. "HEAVE!" He shouted, trying to be heard over the wind. The boat jerked as it began to lower, three feet at a time, in some movements. "HEAVE!"

Sara gasped for air as she felt lifted, coughing then as she tried to get the water out of her. The salt water burned at her eyes but she forced herself to look at her savior, noticing in surprise it was the same girl as before. She had risked her life, by going overboard? For a stranger? Sara didn't say anything, not able to hear herself think with how loud the thunder, waves, and wind was, but just held onto the girl tightly. A wave went over their heads, dragging them under again but Sara tried to keep herself calm while gripping the girl. She knew now that be kicking and squirming you just got yourself lost and that the life jacket and floaties knew where up was even when you didn't. She gasped for air when they broke the surface, the boat looked so far away. But the girl had grabbed a life preserver so they couldn't be that far could they? Sara couldn't see anything connecting them to the boat at all.
