Pasted from the OTHER topic about the PS3... Xindaris Angelic Light Blue arrow The biggest reason NOT to get a PS3- the PRICE! The AWFUL price! Actually, it's not that bad. The Xbox 360, is 300$, BUT to get the Xbox equivalant of everything that the PS3 comes standard with (internet connection, HDTV compatability, etc.), you have to pay some 4-500$ extra in "extensions". So, really: Xbox with everything:$700+ PS3 with everything:$600, period. Not so bad, is it? And I'm not even discussing the Wii, it's no longer a direct competitor with the new interface (that is, controller)

id get it... if i had the money. i loved the ps1 and ps2 to bits, and i want the games that are only for the playstations. ratchet and clank (fave game series followed by kh) have given a clue that they will make another game, and it will be on ps3. i must get it, so i will, eventually. and they didnt steal the controller idea. every new system has a wireless controller

Someone must be just plain out crazy to buy a $600 game-system....
I'm happy with my PS2. No more. No less.

I got a Wii.
It rocks.
I just hope they can push the limits of the graphics, they bug me sometimes.
But the gameplay is great.
Except when the battery is low, but that takes days.

That being said, Sony completely ripped off the Revolution's (Excuse me, the Wii's) controller. (Full article is here: http://ps3.ign.com/articles/705/705836p1.html)
Way to go, ********.
I was (and still am) a die-hard Sega fan. Sega was always ahead of their time for game systems and because of it ended up having to reform into a third-party gaming company... I remember when Sega and Nintendo were the big-time competitors. Now I find myself rooting for both as they have for the most part teamed up. I think I might go crazy if Microsoft and Sony end up as the only videogaming industry. They are too big already, too powerful and monopoly-y. It's terrible!!
