i'm in Japanese 1 right now
i got a little ahead of the class though because i went to Japanese Bowl
((yes, it's real for those of you who don't know it, it's in Michigan)
i could help, i have all my notes, a dictionary, and I know basic sentance structures if you need help with that
what i could teach you with my small knowledge:
~hiragana
~katakana
~the kanji for tsuki and tree (woot i'm so fluent...)
~how to say if you like/dislike/love/loathe something
~your hobbies
~colors
~how to refer to your own family or someone elses
~a basic greeting for the first time
and some more stuff
if it comforts you a little my teacher said i can go Nihongo 2
if that helps any

these are like the basic sayings that your supposed to say in japenese
it has lessons 1-8 and then it shows you hiragana chart and katana charts
oh yea and if it doesnt go to you straight to you then go to. It might say kids web japan but when you go to the web site and go to the language partit just tells you how to speak some japenese.

I have been trying to learn for about 3 years now, I only own a dictionary and lots of anime. Most of the time, I just surf the dictionary, trying to translate what I hear on the anime. Not the greatest solution, but the only one I have because my school doesn't offer Japanese classes.

Thank you so much. My school said that unless I had a recomendation last year from my teacher, I can not take any language class. Of course this they tell us this so kindly after the next school year started. Someone "forgot" to mention this when we were actually signing up for the classes. I really wanted to take that class to. crying
