Once Adrian made a break for it, it became more apparent as to what exactly Amaya had done. There was blood all over the halls from shadows jumping up and attacking anyone they could find. A few monsters laid on the floor dead, while others struggled to keep wounds closed or at least slow the bleeding. Whatever got the most blood out was what the shadows where looking to do it seemed.
Screaming in rage at Adrian's quick escape and his continued struggle to keep Amaya in control, Seth ordered the few able bodied monsters after Adrian before turning on the shadow user before him, beating her into unconsciousness quickly, grinning once he saw the shadows stop shaking and fall flat once more.

Adrian grinned faintly when he saw Amaya's work. 'Thanks Amaya....' he thought as he made his way through the building, paying little mind to whoever stood in his way or came after him. The blood leapt from the walls, forming barriers behind him that completely sealed off the passageway and were hard as steel, while the minions behind him were quickly taken out by all manner of slicing, stabbing, and crushing. The amount of blood that had been sprayed around gave him a seemingly limitless supply that kept him covered until he was outside.

Amaya had risked everything to let Adrian get away, but out of the two of them, Adrian was the most logical choice to escape and find the kids. Amaya might have had more control over the shadow than before, but her body and mind had taken a severe beating over the years. Adrain was stronger, and Amaya had done what she could to help him, though now all she could do was hope it was enough as Seth threw her back into chains and took over her once more.

The minute he burst out into daylight Adrian spread his wings and took off. Shielding his eyes from the sun he hadn't seen for a while, he looked down at the city below and tried to get his bearings. He wanted so much to start calling for Riley and Cali right then and there, but it was just too risky. That would just bring more attention from Seth's goons, and if they did come out they'd become targets too. All he could do was try to head back to the apartment and start searching from there.

It took the small group another hour before they got to where Falon was leading them, a seedy alley filled with all sorts of mutates. While she went from mutate to mutate, trying to convince them, Cali stayed back with Riley, trying to avoid the stares she got from each mutate Falon talked to. "You alright?" She asked Riley, giving him a tired smile. She hadn't slept at all, being too worried about keeping Riley safe and too worried about her parents at the time. It was like when she was eight all over again to her, and she didn't want things to resort to that desperate level.

"I guess so..." Riley murmured with a yawn as he stayed close to Cali. Between the mess they were all in and his first night sleeping somewhere other than his own bed at home, he didn't get much sleep either.

"Hey, thanks for keeping up with us this long." She told him with a smile, ruffling his hair a little. "Mom and dad would be proud of you." Cali said, trying to keep his hopes up about their parents, though she was truly more worried about Amaya than Adrian. If anyone could escape, it would probably be Adrian, and after all the abuse Amaya had taken over the years, Cali wasn't sure how much longer her mom could keep fighting, though she tried not to let her brother notice.

"You say that like I had a choice." Riley said sticking his tongue out at his sister while he tried to un-ruffle his hair. "And the cruddy alternative was getting kidnapped by those creeps that took mom and dad."

Cali gave her brother a small smile before wrapping her arms around him in a hug. "They'll be okay." She murmured, even if she really didn't believe it herself.
"CALI!" Falon shouted from the end of the alleyway.
That shout brought Cali back to the reality she was now in and she grabbed Riley, jumping out of the way of a steel beam just in time. "Damn it." She muttered, glad she seemed to have her mother's reflexes, though she was upset at how close it was still. Shoving Riley behind her, Cali summoned Hazama once more, who caught the next beam in time and threw it back at the mutate responsible. It was one of Amun's mutates. Great.
Falon in the meantime, was fighting to get away from a mutate that had grabbed her. Others were running in the confusion while some of Amun's mutates attacked anyone unlucky enough to get in their path.

Adrian was still in pretty bad shape after getting out of Amun's cell and knew he had to rest soon. His flight path was getting shaky as he tried to keep his battered and bruised body in the air and landed on a nearby rooftop. Slumping down against a ventilation shaft to rest, he heard a scuffle going on nearby and hobbled to the edge of the roof to peer down at what it was. It looked like a massive fight going on between a bunch of mutates, though he had no idea why. Two didn't look too bad off though and were trying to stay out of the fight, one even protecting the other. Not too old either. "Wait a second..." he squinted his eyes at the pair. "That's Calista and Riley!" he said with a mix of shock that they were in trouble and joy at seeing them alive and okay. The anger of a protective dad kicked in soon after as he didn't spare a second in leaping off the roof and slamming his foot into an attacking mutate's head on the way down.

Using her telekinesis, Falon threw her attacker into a wall and threw several others aside, just barely dodging Adrian as he came crashing down onto another mutate. It took the girl only a second to read his mind and see if her was still under Amun's control. Seeing that he wasn't, she grabbed his arm and pulled him up. "I'm not the enemy." She told him quickly, slightly fearing he would attack her too in the heat of the moment.
Cali had gotten Hazama to beat the mutate attacking them, though she was still so focused, she didn't notice the other mutate until they brushed by her to grab Riley, getting a hand on the collar of his shirt. That instant fear of losing her brother again made her snap, the girl screaming in rage as she spun on her heel and connected her fist hard with the mutate's face. "Don't you touch him!" She screamed, Hazama darting from behind her a moment later and sprouting several more arms has he began to beat the mutate into a pulp while Cali pulled her brother back. Her eyes were cold, almost matching her mother's eyes from her time in the ring, while her hands grasped Riley's shoulders tight. She was not about to let anyone take her little brother from her.

"I'm only going to say this once, assholes..." Adrian said as he steadied himself, still covered in blood from his grand escape, though he couldn't tell who it belonged to anymore. As it started to hover in the air around him threateningly, his pupils turned to slits. "Your boss has my wife, he's tormented and beaten us senseless, you're attacking my kids, and I am not happy. I'm not feeling particularly merciful right now, so if you have any desire to live, now would be a good time to run." he said glaring at whoever was left.
Riley gulped as he hide behind Cali. He'd never seen his dad like this before and it was actually pretty scary.

Unlike Riley, Cali had seen Adrian like this before, so his attitude barely came as a shock to her now, given she was still rather protective of her brother, watching the fleeing mutates carefully as they ran from Adrian. Once the remaining mutates left, however, Cali ran over, wrapping her arms around Adrian. "D-Daddy! I was so worried about you!" She cried, burying her head in his chest.
Seeing that Cali could probably support Adrian if his legs gave out on him, Falon stepped away, walking over to Riley since she saw the boy still seemed a little afraid of his own father. "This is what it was like before..." She murmured, of course meaning Adrian's time in the ring. And though Cali and Falon were young when they were in the arena, they both remembered their parents returning home beat to hell and sometimes almost out of control.

"Ow, ow, easy...easy...." Adrian hissed as Cali flung herself at him before gently returning the hug as he mellowed out after the brawl, a shaken Riley soon running up to clutch at his pants leg too. "Thank god you two are alright....I don't know what I would have done if anything happened to you two."

"Sorry..." She murmured, easing her grip on Adrian now as she looked up at him. "Is...mom alive?" Cali asked softly, knowing that was about the only question that could be asked at this point.
