"Then let's get started. " Amaya told them with a nod of her head. "Edward, I want you to summon a flame the size of your fist in each hand. You will maintain them for the next two hours. Sera, you and I will be maintaining balls of lava for the next two hours. After this exercise, and only after we complete it successfully, can we rest for an hour, then we'll be back at it for three hours." She said to the two before she clenched her hands, mentally preparing herself for the pain that would come to her hands once actual heat started filling the room.
Rising to her feet, Amaya walked a few feet away from the two and then brought her hands together, slowly taking them apart as a ball of lava began to form in the space, spinning rapidly as it grew until she held it at the size of a basketball, the sweat already dripping down the side of her face.

Sera nodded to Master Amaya's instructions. "A flame the size of a fist is pretty easy, don't forget to use imagination." She spoke to Edward before going to the other area of the room. She watched and saw Amaya summoning the ball of lava, it wass amazing for her to be doing that in such a state. As for Sera, her use of magic still felt strained from the day before, she'll never do such a thing ever again. Opening her book, Sera imagined the lava forming in front of her hand that isn't holding the book, thinking of all things related to what she is summoning. Thinking of what is it, what property it has, Sera opened her eyes to find the sphere floating in front of her. Feeling almost tired, now that the lava has been summoned everything will be okay, maintaining a summon is easier than the summoning part. As usual, she find the lava to be very hot, but because she is a Dragonkin, getting used to the heat isn't a problem either. She'll need to create another one too, but first she'll wait for Master Amaya.

Atta nodded in reply to Jake's statement on the classes. She tried once more to figure out how to heal her throbbing hand before heading out to her normal area. It was devastating how it all looked all of a sudden. The day before it had been beautiful. Absolutely wonderful. Today it was littered with debris and fallen bodies. She shed a soft tear before continuing into the dead forest in the perimeter of the school and continued to the livelier area. It made her.feel better that she could feel more of her element. Sheddinga few more tears, she touched the earth and tried to enhance the life of the charred ones closer to the school.

Jake sighed as he walked straight to his classroom. He would have liked to possibly shower and freshen up first, but chances were that he was already at least five minutes late and taking a shower would only make him more late. On his way over his thoughts were filled with the battle that happened last night, as well as of his students. Cassandra in particular filled his mind. He knew that they couldn't afford to take it slow, but from what he saw yesterday he couldn't exactly rush Cassandra through the lessons. Learning how to control an element took a fairly long time, even longer if you weren't very practiced at it alread. And Cassandra certainly wasn't very practiced at it. He entered his classroom without even looking to see who was there and took a seat at his desk.

Aizith had not slept at all the past night. She was currently hiding out in the forest, in her own clearing that she had made the past night. It was a dark clearing, with only slight slivers of light passing through. She was curled up on the ground, her arms wrapped around her knees. She was debating on what she should do. She didn't want to do this anymore. She wasn't good enough to be at this school. If she couldn't back up her words, what cause was there to act with them. She would not fight anymore. She was debating on going to find her own nymph family. She just didn't want to be here anymore. Aizith moved slightly, and grimaced in pain. She was still in pain from her shoulder. She could have saved Ash. She could have saved so many, but she had been so blinded by fighting and trying to be a hero in her master's eyes. All Aizith wanted to do was sleep, but all the faces of the lost members of the school flashed before her and she just couldn't. She couldn't face going back up there.

(Ah poor Sivler. He always gets the worst luck with computers. When something goes wrong, it goes really wrong.) Zane had left the city. There wasn't much he could really do during the day anyways. He felt more at home in the forest anyways. The peace and quiet helped him think. Even if he could monitor their movements at night, it still wouldn't tell him much about how they actually felt. Contacting Sera would be a dangerous move but that may be the only option he had open to him. He continued to move through the trees not really watching were he was actually going as he thought.

Edward nodded, though was a little worried. His hands were still burned from the battle, but he made no protest. He sat with his hands upturned on his knees, cross legged, and focused on the center of his palms. He imagined his energy flowing from his center to his hands, the heat seeming to follow his veins. He closed his eyes, focusing the heat into the center of his palms and a little off of them. He couldn't tell if he was creating fire, but his could feel waves of heat in his hands. He took deep breaths, and the flames in his hands seemed to grow a little each time, growing to the size of his fists. They stayed at that level, but seemed to wax and wan to the rhythm of his breaths.

Taking a deep breath, Amaya took a moment to collect her thoughts before she split the ball in two, now maintaining two balls of lava, one in each hand. The master slowed her breathing, only taking a breath with each completed rotation of the balls as they spun, though she also had to keep some of her attention on Edward and Sera. She could feel Ifrit's presence as the room grew hotter by the minute and the master began to sweat, a wry smile on her face.
"Did I forget to mention that Ifrit is a goddess who loves to see how far she can push you?" Amaya asked the two, already trying to block the heat from her mind so it wasn't so terrible.

Seeing Master Amaya creating another ball of lava, Sera closed her eyes and imaged the one ball of lava in front of her slowly splitting in half. Her way of maintaining them slightly different from Master Amaya's, both of them were being maintained with one hand. She can feel the room become warmer and warmer, which is probably because of four lava balls being maintained in the room. After she heard Master Amaya's words she felt even hotter, though it made her wonder if Ifrit can sense her dark magic. Sera's main magic attribute was fire, in which the power of the shadows she acquired later on, that masked the traces of the darkness, which made her felt very relieved. "I can do much more than this Master..." Sera spoke with a shy smile on her face, preparing to create more lava balls.

Looking over Sera, Amaya remembered she was not as injured as her or Edward. Amaya had a lot of control issues to work out within her magic, but she gave Sera a nod. "Go ahead then, but only as many as you can handle. It will get harder the longer we go. This is a stamina exercise, not one for quantity yet."

Edward heard Amaya's voice in the back of his mind, but he was focusing on keeping his energy flowing to his hands. The pain from his burns was staring to mount, but his bit his bottom lip and continued on. The balls kept in the rhythm of his breaths, but they had started to change color, going from a orange-yellow to a deep scarlet.

Sera eagerly nodded. She will try separating two more at the same time. Putting the free hand to her chest, she started to read some passages from the book she was holding, if Ifrit wants to push her to the limit, she'll gladly prove to the goddess that she can do it too. The heat at the moment was distracting her as it gets hotter, but she can endure it. Now, completely ignoring the pain on her nose and the strained feeling of using magic, she imagined the two balls of lava multiplying, now four, placed around her. The sudden increase in heat made her open her eyes, sweat trickled down her face. The magic strain isn't that much after all, though, she didn't like the feeling it gave her. Now it will be harder to make another one, but that is the challenge isn't it?

Atta cringed as some of the trees shut her out. They didn't want to be touched. They wanted to stay the way they were. When she felt movement... Well one was very slight and then it stopped. Atta looked around feeling for the creature that was making such a tiny movement. But then there were footsteps. They were at the edge. She wondered who could possibly be in the forest at this time when classes were starting up again. She took a step towards it before she felt the alcove of trees where the slight movement had been. She was confused, what could it possibly be? Aizith should have been asleep... Or waking up. Atta was suddenly extremely concerned...
Cassandra was in the classroom waiting on her master when he walked in. She didn't like the mood he seemed to be in. "Master? Are you alright?"
