Tori chuckled at her, low in his throat. "Really?" he asked, looking at her and pecking her on the lips again, "I just go with the flow. You're the only girl I've ever kissed." He wanted to snuggle her and just lay down, but the sun was still out. Mother always told him that was for night time. Of course, the way they were now, he was already comfy. "Fang, you make me feel bubbly inside," he said, his face turning as red as his eyes.
Kujaku snapped his head up, looking at Meiyu and smiling a nervous smile. He didn't need anyone finding out about the spell. "Just talking to myself," he said with a laugh, flicking some hair over his shoulder.

"Alright, then." Meiyu smiled and went back to reading a sheet of paper he'd pulled from his science suitcase.
Fang leant against him, happily. She giggled at his last statement, and nodded briefly, "Yeah, me too." First she just looked happy, but then she was reminded of something, and her face turned guilty, and sad again. Like in the hallway. "Tori...I think I have something to tell you." she looked at the floor, letting her arms go slack. "I wasn't going to...but...and it's really not important I guess..."

Tori looked at Fang and watched her go limp. What was this about? Why was she sad all of a sudden? "What is it?" he asked with a concerned look, his eyes bright with worry.

"About a year and a half ago..." she choked on her words and made herself continue, "I went to the castle...to look for my parents..." she didn't know that Meiyu had already told him part of this story. She smiled icily when she said, "I was caught, as you can imagine....wasn't my best attempt..." She looked away from him, and out the window. She couldn't believe she was going to tell him this. But if they were going to be this close...she wanted him to understand why sometimes she acted the way she did, "They broke all my bones the first night, and I was put in the dungeon...I was down there for months before I could even realise if a person was coming... I was just starting to heal... and, I...I don't know who it was that..." her voice broke again, and she took a deep breath. "Why is this so hard to say?"

Tori furrowed his eyebrows at her and thought. She had been to the castle. He knew that her parents had been there, but he promised he wouldn't say anything. Then she got caught and tortured like Seith... If someone had been coming, and she was this scared...she was acting like he had when he had almost been raped ny Kujaku. Did that mean...? "Fang..." he said, a loving smile on his face. Lightly, he pulled her into a hug, stroking her hair. If that was what happened to her, he would hold her for as long as it took for her to feel better. "You don't have to. I understand what you're trying to say. It's alright," he said lightly, whispering it in her ear. ((Did I guess right?))

Fang hugged him back, shaking a little, "I-I never told anyone...I..." she hid her face against the crook of his neck, "I needed you to understand..." She held her breath, waiting for it all to sink in with him. She was just a street rat. It didn't matter how strong she was then, and it still didn't. She could still remember the agony when whoever it had been had shattered her barely healed pelvis with his own body, and then gripped her shoulder until she screamed. And she screamed until she lost her breath. She remembered how scary it had been. She remembered knowing that there were soldiers standing just on the other side of the door, and still no one came. She remembered begging. And then just this night before, when she had seen Kujaku on top of Tori, trying to do the same thing. She couldn't help but grip Tori tighter. She prayed that he understood. She NEEDED to protect him now. It wasn't even up to her anymore. Lightly her lips rested on his neck. And whenever she breathed, he would feel the shallow puffs of warmth as her nerves calmed and her heart slowed from it's hammering. Had she known Kujaku had the spell, she probably never would have told him what had happened.

Kujaku's face lifted at what had been heavily implyed. Rape? The girl? My oh My, that was interesting. He would need to remember that.
Tori shook his head. He didn't like that she was so worked up. He could understand why, but it made his sad that she was sad. With a light hand he stroked her hair, hugging her tightly. She was suffering, more than he ever had. Physical abuse was one thing, but mental abuse...that took a long time to fix. "I understand," he said with a light, calming voice, "and it's ok. Don't worry, ok? Everything will be fine. I'm not going to let you go just because of that."

"I know...but I had to tell you..." Fang sighed, relaxing against him, and pulled back just enough to give him another kiss. She seemed to let the subject drop and leant her head on his shoulder, "I didn't sleep last night, so is it alright if I take a little nap, now?" She yawned into her hand. Now that a moment had passed, she seemed more herself, losing all the sad era, and her aura began to flushen up again into the bright colors, only instead of feathered wings..they looked more like butterfly wings.

Tori saw her aura and smiled. Yes, she reminded him of a butterfly. A very kind butterfly. "Go ahead," he said calmly, smoothing her hair, "It's going to take us awhile to get to my cousin's house."

After many hours of riding, Tori's butt hurt. He didn't want to move because Fang was on him sleeping, but he wanted to stand in the carriage and stretch. Reaching over to the bag, he pulled out the Mashed Potatoes and tilted the bowl. He didn't know where the silverware was, so he just let it slide into his mouth.
Kujaku had been playing a dice game with Sebastion and Meiyu. "Fives," he said with a smile, tallying up his score, "Im almost winning against you Meiyu."

Fang slept soundly, breathing softly, cuddled against Tori. Every so often she would shift forms in her sleep. Currently, she was a lion cub, sleeping curled up in his lap, and at the smell of the mashed potatoes, licked her lips, purring, making her body vibrate like a little massaging machine. Her head was full of mixed images, and little clipits. Memories, and visions of the future. Picturing the child he talked about.
"You'll never get me!" Meiyu laughed. ((which game?)) He was so preoccupied he forgot to tell Sebastian his theory on the animal they were searching for,

((Idk, I was just making something up.)) Tori felt her purring and smiled. She was cute when she changed, and cuter as a regular person. Of course, he noticed that she usually went for baby animals when she slept. He wondered why in passing.
Kujaku laughed, watching Sebastion roll. "Uncle, you suck," he said with a flick of his hair.
Sebastion glared at Kujaku. "Thanks for the encouragement," he said with a smile.

((lol))
In fact, Fang usually changed into baby animals, because she liked to feel protected...and no one wants to protect a full grown dangerous animal that doesn't truly need protection. She blinked her eyes open after a little bit, and blinked innocently up at him, still deep in thought.
Meiyu laughed low and rich, "I think he's got a point, Sebastian!" Meiyu reached for the dice and rolled, "Sixes...beat that, Kujaku-san!"

Tori looked down at her, smiling. She was so small and cute...he really wanted to cuddle her. "Morning sleepy head," he said lightly, "want some?" He offered her the bowl with a smile.
Sebastion sighed at the game. He had never been good at dice games.
Kujaku bit his lip. There were three dice, and if he didn't get sixes on all three then he would lose. Rolling the dice, he saw he got two sixes...and a five. "Dammit" he said under his breath, erasing the tally and watching Meiyu smile at him. It was four wins to six losses. He was going to beat Meiyu!

"Morning." She meowed, before stretching and crawled to her own side, stretching before shifting back to her regular form and nodded, "Sure...I think it's your fault...I'm starting to get addicted to potatoes." she laughed and dipped her index finger into the bowl, bringing it out and stuck her finger in her mouth. Only a second before a huge smile bloomed across her face and she murmured, "They're awesome!"
Meiyu laughed, "You'll never beat me! Muahahahahaha!" He faked an evil laugh, even dramatically throwing back his head.

Tori laughed, seeing the look on her face. They were great, something he would have to go back to Jaku's house for more. "Hey, it's a very healthy addiction," he said with a smile, leaning over and kissing her on the cheek, "Just like you."
Kujaku smiled, shaking his head and rolling the dice. In this game, second runner-up went first. Rolling two fours and a six, Kujaku smiled. Good start. "Oh, I'm going to get you old man," he said with a smile, "I'm going to beat you into retirement!"
Sebastion couldn't help but laugh. "I haven't heard an insult that good in awhile," he said, patting his friend on the back.
