The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn blushed as he heard Jennalin's words. "Whoops. Ah well. Too late now. Might as well keep going." He muttered to himself. Raising his voice slightly to address Ashriel, he nodded. "Good. No fighting. Though it makes me worried." He was glad she was coming along peacefully but it made him wonder if she was planning something else. He towed her out of the school and back towards home. "Why were you doing this?" He asked with a sigh. "Is it really that hard to give your body the rest it needs?" He wasn't really expecting an answer to that.
Lixini looked confused still. "Does he know where she lives?" She asked curiously. The girl was an airhead most of the time, but she had her moments of brilliance - Usually right when no one wanted her to. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked up at Raevyn. She was not about to tell him why she wasn't fighting, even if it was just that for a reason. "I...I can't stand missing school." Her voice was quiet as she looked up at him.
"He...err...just moved in nearby Ash." Okay, that was the truth. She just wasn't about to say he was the cat that was living in Ash's apartment.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn sighed. "You're a smart girl. Missing a few days of school here and there won't kill you." He told her, complimenting her in an absentminded way. "You do yourself more harm than good, pulling stunts like this."
Lixini's eyes brightened with understanding. "Oh! Really? That's interesting." And her moment of genius was over, leaving her a bubbly air-head once more. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at Raevyn, slightly startled by the offhand compliment. "Oh...." Her face went red as she looked at him. "I- uh...never thought of it that way." She said shyly as she looked at him still.
Jennalin sighed. Thank goodness Lixini was somewhat ignorant. It helped- a lot. She almost was going to say that he was going out with Ash.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn chuckled and tapped her head lightly. "That's because book smarts are not always street smarts." He said with a smirk. "Now let's get you back to bed." He said, arriving at the apartment. He looked at the door, then at Ashriel pointedly. He didn't have a key and today he'd made sure to lock it.
Lixini totally missed Jennalin's relief, too busy digging in her locker. "Stupid, stupid, stupid notebook. Where the hell does it always go?" Finally she found it at the bottom of her locker - Right where it always was. "Found it! Come on Jen. Let's get to class." She grabbed the older girl's arm and dragged her away. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"What? I left my key on the counter. I thought you grabbed it." Ashriel said, shrugging as she stood there.
--lol. locked out.--

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn sighed. "And this is why I made a note to get my own key." He reached into his bag and pulled out a small ring with pieces of metal attached like keys. He set to work and within a minute, the door had yielded to his lockpicks. "Can't keep a good cat out." He said with a smirk, opening the door. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel smiled as they walked in, kind of startled by the fact that he could pick locks. Her fingers twined into her hair as she set down her bag and walked into the kitchen, digging through the fridge.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn tucked the picks back in his lock. "You learn a lot when you live on the street for more than ten years." He told Ashriel with a grin, walking into the house. He leaned against the counter, watching her rummage in the fridge. "Are you going to keep it down or am I cleaning up more puke?" He made a face at the thought. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at him quietly. "I don't know, but my stomach's grumbling." She said basically the first thing she'd said to him today that was actually normal. Finally, her fingers rested on a carton of eggs which she immediately pulled out of the fridge. Without checking the date.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn shrugged. "Alright then. Do try to keep it down though. I hate cleaning it up." He settled at the kitchen table, backpack at his feet. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel took out a pan, and she cracked an egg into it. "Hey, it smells and looks funny." She commented, turning on the stove. Okay, so she was oblivious sometimes.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn coughed as the smell of the eggs hit his sensitive nose. "Throw those out. Right now." He told her demandingly. "Don't you dare eat a single bite! Throw them out now!" He could smell that the eggs had gone bad. He didn't care if Ashriel didn't want to waste food, she wasn't going to eat those eggs. He wouldn't let her. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"Okay..." Ashriel said, confused, but she did as he told her. She rinsed the pan, the egg already in the trashcan. In a second she was back and going through the fridge, digging for something to eat. Finally, she pulled out a peach, settling on eating just that.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn sighed in relief as she didn't argue. "Sorry for snapping." He murmured, then shrugged. "But trust me. Had you eaten those eggs, you'd be sicker than you were yesterday. I wouldn't eat those and I have a stronger stomach than a human." The tiger that should be....isn't....
