((Your siggy confuses me to no end.))
"Like you're in any position to stop me at this point." Cali hissed, walking towards the door. "Mom can't even factor in anymore, you and I both know she's as good as dead." She muttered.

(( rofl Welcome to Homestuck. That's a scene from the comic, which someone felt the need to add sombreros and a 'stache too. The 'LIKE A HUSS' bit comes from a rather meme-tastic vid someone made about the creator, Andrew Hussie. XD ))
He didn't want to do it, but it seemed Adrian had little choice but to use his powers on his own (adopted) daughter to keep her from leaving. "Her mind may be pretty far gone, but I never said she was dead, no matter how literal or metaphorical you want to be. Beat Amun and his hold on her, and I'm sure that the doctors and enough meds can bring her back. Call me and idealist, but I'm not giving up on her, and I'm not letting you leave. End of story."

"Let. Go. Of. Me. NOW." Cali hissed, her voice full of malice. Hazama turned on Adrian, his fingers extending into claws as he began to lock his fingers in place. She'd fight her father if she had to. She was confident he wouldn't be able to actually hurt her, but she'd do whatever she could to stop Amun. "This isn't like the s**t Sikes gave her, he's broken her."
((Homestuck confuses me too.))

"Broken or not, I'll still bring her home." Adrian said calmly. "I don't want to hurt you Calista, but I just can't in my right mind let you go either. So just call Hazama off and back down, please?"

"Let go." Cali said again, Hazama now moving towards Adrian. She'd been unable to save her mother for years, and she was determined now to change that as Hazama raised his hand to slash Adrian.

Adrian sighed. It seemed there was no other way around this. While Hazama raised a hand to strike, Adrian quickly reached up to grab his wrist and keep him from attacking and--
"STOP IT!!" Riley cried out suddenly as ran out from where he'd been hiding, dashing right past his dad mid-combo, and glomping Cali's leg. "Just stop fighting, please!! Dad's already beat up enough, but I don't want you to go either!! I don't wanna be left alone while you guys get all beat up trying to save mom!!"

Hazama lost power behind his attack as Cali glanced down at Riley. She still couldn't really move, but her eyes looked a little remorseful. A sigh escaped her lips as she cast a gaze to Falon, who nodded in agreement with Riley, though she'd been spending a good amount of time trying to calm Cali down psychically anyway. "Fine, Riley...fine..." She murmured.

((Riley--the living embodiment of a guilt trip.))
Adrian just sighed, half in relief and half sad that things almost got violent as he released his daughter from his hold.

((Indeed. Poor cute ten year olds))
"I'm going to bed." Cali muttered after a moment, prying Riley off her to go over to a chair, where she just sat and curled into a ball, hiding her face in her knees and pulling her legs to her chest.
"Right. Uhhh, I'll go get some sheets for you guys." Falon sighed after Cali diffused, disappearing for a second before she returned with some blankets, handing them over to Adrian.

"Dad? Can I....sleep with you tonight?" Riley murmured as he looked up at his dad while wiping his eyes.
"Sure you can." Adrian said, a weak and tired smile on his face as he ruffled his son's hair with one hand.

Falon woke up early the next morning, yawning as she rubbed the sleep from her eyes. Looking around the apartment, she could see Cali was missing, which as a little alarming, though it didn't look like Adrian and Riley were up yet, which meant she had some time, but she opened her mind, trying to locate Cali before this became a major issue.

After five minutes of searching, Falon finally felt Cali approaching, waiting out on the fire escape for her. "Where the hell have you been?" She growled once she finally heard the girl climbing up the fire escape. When Cali pulled herself up, Falon gasped at her changed appearance.
Cali had sheered off her hair to her shoulder and pulled it back in a ponytail, though that wasn't the very odd part. The odd part was the fact that Cali was wearing an outfit of her mother's from the ring. "What? I went to the apartment to get some clean clothes." She murmured, tossing a bag into the apartment that contained clean clothes for Adrian and Riley as well.
"What happens when you're dad sees you like this?" Falon asked, putting her hands on her hips as she followed the girl back inside.
"I think he'll realize how bad the situation has become." She murmured, going to help Falon make breakfast, her steel-toed combat boots clunking as she walked.

((Sorry, writer's block can be a b***h. XP ))
The sound of a toilet flushing and a sink running was soon followed by Riley coming out of the bathroom as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes. "What's all the noise about? And what are we having for breakfast?" he asked groggily.

"Nothing. Just picked up some stuff, got some clean clothes from home for you and dad." Cali told her little brother with a small smile. "We're having food for breakfast, if that's alright with you." She teased, putting a large bowl of eggs on the table.
((It happens.))

((Any further gaps in posting I'm blaming on LEGO Batman 2. >-> ))
"You know what I mean." Riley muttered as he sat at the table where he rested his chin. "....You know dad's gonna blow a gasket when he sees what you've done with yourself." He didn't really care so much what his sister did with her looks, being a ten year old boy and ignorant towards fashion as a whole, but he knew their dad was another story. What with the whole 'sneaking out while hell's breaking loose and wearing their mom's clothes' thing.
