I'm Jess and, obviously, new. I'm 26, a graduate student in analytical chemistry, and generally feel like an idiot when I post "Hi, I'm new" posts.
I started watching anime when Sailor Moon was a brand-new dub waaaaay back at the beginning of high school. Thankfully, we've moved beyond those days... These days, to name a few, I enjoy Haibane Reinme, Sgt. Frog, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Arjuna, and a whole host of others.
I am also a huge sci-fi geek.. Last year I got talked into adding Mara Jade from Star Wars EU to my costume list because my SW club friends thought it was a waste of my natural red hair not to dress up as her.

Um.. I play the flute (17 years in August), drive a Jetta, spend too much time on my computer, am addicted to Pokemon on my DS, spend too much time in my lab, enjoy writing, own more books than I have room for, and can go from utterly random to serious and academic in about 0.3 seconds.
