The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... ((I'm off to bed. Night.))
Raevyn grinned, amused that it had taken her this long to figure it out. "Sorry sugar, but yes. Jennalin was baby-sitting you." He told her, wicked amusement dancing in his amber eyes. "I told you. I needed to get somethings done. And you are too stupid to leave alone. Actually though, it was coincidence that she showed up. I hadn't called her. But I wasn't going to refuse a free baby-sitter." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel pouted, listening to everything Raevyn had to say. "I would hit you, but my finger nails are wet and I don't wanna ruin them." She stated, as if that was a perfectly reasonable reason. "It wasn't a coincidence. As I've said before. Jennalin is a psychic. Just...she is a whatsitcalled...a subconscious psychic most of the time." After a minute, she remembered what Raevyn had said about Groceries. "When's dinner?"

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn chuckled, having no doubts she was perfectly serious about hitting him. "If you say so. And it doesn't help that she keeps hanging around me, with my overflow of powers." He said with an easy grin. "As for dinner, what do you feel like? I bought a little bit of everything, cause I like a lot of different things and I like variety." The contents of Ashriel's fridge were very different than her meager money supply allowed. He'd decided to take matters into his own hands, buying the food himself with his own money. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel thought for a moment before shrugging. "I dunno...surprise me~" She sang, obviously more energetic and happy than before. It was evident that she was more or less better- other than the lingering dizziness from not drinking too much during the last couple of days.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Alright then." Raevyn said with a chuckle. "You've been keeping stuff down, so I think I'm okay to make something a bit heavier than soup this time." He rose and stretched, wandering into the kitchen. He could be heard rustling and moving things around, preparing the food. Soon, a soft sizzling began. The tiger that should be....isn't....

A few minutes passed, and Ashriel was off the couch, walking towards the kitchen easily. Well, not too easily- she was still rather dizzy. But the good thing was that most of her "illness" was simply stress. Or was that a bad thing? She wasn't sure. Ah, well. She looked at Raevyn as she clumsily entered the kitchen, hoping that he wouldn't realize what had made her sick.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn sighed, hearing Ashriel enter the kitchen. He didn't turn to look at her, not needing to. "Would you just sit down and stay there?" He asked in exasperation. He was busy at the stove, frying something in a pan. "Seriously. You keep making yourself worse by doing stupid things." The tiger that should be....isn't....

"I'm fine. Just a little thirsty." Ashriel brought herself over to the fridge, which she opened and looked in, awed by the sight. "How...how did you pay for all of this?" She asked him, pulling out some juice.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn looked over to see what she was talking about. "What? The food? Oh, that I paid for with my money." He said with an easy shrug, as if it didn't matter. And it didn't, not to him anyways. He turned back to the cooking, unconcerned. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"How much was it?" Ashriel asked calmly, her mind going through various ways already that she could pay him back for half of it. That way, at least she was paying for her portions.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn shrugged again. "Don't know. I didn't get a receipt." He had deliberately done that so Ashriel couldn't bug him about the cost. Well, that was the theory at least. "Don't worry about it. This is my contribution to living here." He reached around her into the fridge for a bag of mixed veggies, adding them to the pan. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel frowned, looking at him. "Fine..." She gave in reluctantly. This was a HUGE step for her, even if he might not know it. Honestly, she hated being a bother on anyone. After all, she'd troubled her parents so much at that they'd chosen to throw her out of the house the minute she could legally live on her own.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn turned around to flash Ashriel a grin. "Good girl." He cooed teasingly. He could sense how much it took for the stubborn girl to give in. "That makes things so much easier when you relax and let people help you." The tiger that should be....isn't....

[ I ] { A } msick of people pointing me out as 'that genius I told you about.' [ I ] { A } mdesiring to stay under the radar for once. [ I ] { A } mnot that person who can just instantly trust people. [ I ] { A } mthat person with the guilty heart. Ashriel took a sip of her juice, turning to look at Raevyn. "I always feel guilty. Really guilty. I...I've always had trouble accepting even birthday gifts. And the last people who paid for my necessities for me were actually my parents. And that turned out real well." She spoke quietly, in response to what he said. Yes, he was getting her to open up. Something Jen and Lix hadn't managed to do, no matter how much they'd tried, for the past six years. [ I ] { A } m that shy person that is forced to speak. [ I ] { A } m that quietly loud person that seems to be able to be both at the same time. [ I ] { A } m not ready for this

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn turned down the heat and let the food simmer for a little bit. He turned and leaned against the counter, facing Ashriel. "Some of us do want to help Ashriel." He told her quietly. "I know how hard it is to live alone and support yourself. Sometimes, accepting help can make it much easier." More than Lixini or Jennalin, Raevyn was the one who best understood her situation. He had been there himself. "If help is offered, there's no reason to refuse it." It had been a hard lesson for the independent cat to learn.
((Interesting new layout.)) The tiger that should be....isn't....
