"I can hold my breath for about a minute and a half. Not much longer, though." Maara answered in reply, quickly figuring out why he would ask such a thing. It was no surprise that he wouldn't trust her to know where the exit was. She wasn't a very trustworthy person to begin with.

Rowan nodded. He could swim that fast. He started towards the entrance that he normally took. And reached his hand out. "Hold your breath." He said before waiting on her to grab his hand. When she did he was going to drag her under the water quicker than he ever had gone through himself. He could do it in a minute but in order to keep her alive he'd have to be faster than that. He knew where he was going to take her when he got her there. There was a small island. It wasn't bigger than a house but it was good enough to stand and sit and lay on.

After taking a deep breath, ready to hold her breath for as long as she could, Maara grabbed onto Rowan's hand. She started feeling rather nervous at this point. Undoubtedly, her master was strong, fast, agile. Incredibly so. As a human, physically, she could never compare. Maara began to hope that she wouldn't be killed by the pressure or stress before she even got out of the water.

Rowan grabbed her hand with an iron grip and threw himself into the water as quickly as he could. It didn't take long. It took a minute before they got there. He jumped out of the water and sat Maara on his back until he got to the island. It wasn't far away but it would take a minute. When they were swimming the pressure had almost been too much for a human but the entrance and how fast he was going was okay. She didn't drown or anything but she may have almost drowned because of needing air.

Once Maara was allowed to sit upon the island, she guasped for air, thankful for the oxygen now filling her lungs once more. After a few minutes of catching her breath, she couldn't help but grin. The warm, welcoming sun felt nice on her pale white skin. It felt like forever since she had last felt such a sensation. The wind blowing against her wet hair and skin was also exhilirating.

Rowan stepped onto the warm sand and put her down. He stretched some in the sunlight since the sunlight did reflect off his somewhat tan skin. Since he normally was out and about more than he had been lately he was a little paler than normal but it didn't matter much to him. It wasn't like he had a bad body either. He smiled some as he dived back into the water splashing Maara as he swam. Chasing fish and such. It was something to do anyway.

Maara, for a faint, quickly passing moment, found herself eyeing Rowan's body. He was certainly hansome, if one ignored the strong likelihood that he would rip one in half and devour him or her on the spot, should he feel like it. None of her husbands were ever attractive. No, their only pleasant quality was that they were rich. Not that what she did to them was any less horrific and cruel in the eyes of any decent human being. When he splashed her, she was surprised at first. Instead of getting mad, though, she simply laughed. Even the feeling if being splashed as she bathed in the sun's rays was a pleasant one.

Rowan put his head above the water as he listened to her laugh. It was a strange sound. He was almost shocked that she was laughing. But it became contagious as he started to chuckle some. He wasn't sure why. He swam to the shore with a clam in his hand. "What's so funny?" He asked. He sat down trying to open it. He wanted the creature. If there was something else in it he'd probably throw it away or give it to Maara since he wouldn't want it.

"I'm not quite sure. Maybe I'm just happy to be outside after so long." Maara admitted with a small shrug, grinning still. "It's wierd. I never really knew how nice sunshine could feel until today."

"All you needed was sunshine huh? Hmmm..." Rowan said to himself as he finally opened the oyster shell. There was a pearl inside of it, but he tossed it to Maara before eating the creature inside. He shrugged since it was so tiny of a morsel. Maybe he'd attack the dolphin swimming around the island, or maybe some of the rainbow fish to give him some game. He watched both their patterns before feeling that the dolphin would fight back so the dolphin would be more fun.

"Sometimes." Maara said with a small shrug. Upon recieving the pearl, however, the look of joy lit up considerably upon her features. She looked absolutely radiant. "I love things like this more. I collected diamonds and jewelry back home in order to pass the time, since there really isn't much for a girl of high standing to do with her spare time."

"That's... umm... Nice?" He said before jumping back into the water to chase the dolphin around. It retaliated at his first slash and bit down hard on one of his hands. Rowan just laughed at the dolphin as he wrenched his hand free. The poor thing lost some teeth, but it did get some of his skin.

Of course, Maara knew she shouldn't be surprised to see that Rowan had absolutely no interest in knowing about her aside from her 'cooking'. Were it not for that, she had utterly no doubt that he would've eaten her long ago. She sat upon that island with a calm look on her face, patiently watching Rowan wrestle some dolphin in the water.

Rowan finally let the dolphin go, as he was scratched a bit and the dolphin was missing pieces to it's tail. He climbed onto the beach before laying down under the sun. "Now, you were saying something about what you did before you were sacrificed to me. I was bored and therefore rude. Now that i have no energy, what did you do other than cook?" Rowan asked all tired and bleeding slightly from the newer of the couple of scratches he had acquired.
