"Of course." Adrian said giving her a kiss on the head. "Shall I be your pillow, or should I carry you to bed?" he asked seeing the tired look on her face.

"You're warm, but bed is much comfier." Amaya murmured with a yawn.

((Awkward moment when you wake up two hours later...when it was supposed to be a one hour nap.))
Amaya smiled, laying her head against Adrian's shoulder as she yawned once more. "I like it when you carry me to be. Less I have to move. And reminiscent of our honeymoon." She said with a small grin.

"I like to think I'm one of few men keeping chivalry alive. And you know I love looking back on our honeymoon." Adrian said with a grin as he set his forehead against hers before laying her down on the bed.

Amaya smiled, kissing his forehead before her laid her down, rolling over and closing her eyes to take a nap.
Calista finished her homework pretty fast, coming out to watch tv before she went out for a bit later that night. She hadn't told her parents yet, but hopefully that wouldn't be an issue.

"Daaad, I'm hungryyyyyy..." Riley whined as he came out of the room and hopped up to sit at the counter some time later.
"I just started dinner; you want to go wake your mom up for me?" Adrian told him while he started to make dinner.
"Okay." Riley said hopping back down and scampering off to his parents room. "Mom, time to wake up. Dad's starting to get dinner ready." he said as he gently shook Amaya.

"Nope. Not time to get up yet." Amaya muttered, grabbing Riley and pulling him into a hug, almost using him as a teddy bear. She'd get up in a second, but she wanted to sleep another minute.
"Heeeey....daddy. I'm gonna go out to eat dinner with some friends and study." Cali said with a sheepish grin, having forgot to tell Adrian until now.

"Ack, mooom!" Riley whined in protest once more as he tried to squirm free from her grasp.
Adrian paused to look over at Calista with a raised eyebrow. "Study.....riiiiiiiiiight...." he said as he turned back to his cooking. "I'm going to go out on a limb and say your mother doesn't know about this?"

"I talked to her about it a week ago. She didn't tell you?" Cali asked, cocking her head as she tried her best to lie.
Amaya laughed, ruffling Riley's hair as she let go and got up. "You got no sense of humor." She teased, brushing her hair out before she headed out into the kitchen

"Not to my knowledge, no." Adrian said when he saw Amaya coming with Riley following behind, trying to un-ruffle his hair. "Hey, perfect timing! Cali claims to have told you about her plans to go out with some friends tonight, have dinner, and quote-of-quote 'study'."

"First off, I believe the saying is quote- unquote." Amaya told Adrian as she sat down at the table. Turning to Cali now, she rested her head in her hand, she looked at her with a dry look. "As for these alleged plans, I don't remember a thing about them." She said.
"Mom, dad pleeeease!" Cali begged, a little mad her mom chose now to wake up. "Please I just want to go out and go hang out with my friends tonight."
((Dinner time for me too. XP

"Ooooo, sis got busteeeeed!" Riley said with a grin as he climbed into a chair next to Amaya.
"Riley, stop teasing your sister. And if you wanted to go out, you should have said something sooner. You can't just spring things like this on us at the last minute." Adrian told her easily as he started to plate things. "You'll just have to call them up and reschedule for another time."

"Nooo! Mom please!" Cali begged as she turned to Amaya.
"Cali, if your dad said no, then you're not going." Amaya said finally, shaking her head at the girl. "That's the end of it."
"No! That's not fair! He's not even my real dad!" She shouted as tears started streaming down her face.
"Calista! That's enough!" Amaya shouted as she got up, slamming her hands on the table.
Cali cried, running down the hall and locking herself in her room.
Amaya sighed. She had hoped just to make it through without the whole, Adrian not being her real dad ever coming up. But it seemed it was going to come up now. Looking at Adrian with sot eyes, she could tell it probably hurt to hear Calista say that. "I'll go talk to her..." She murmured, patting Riley on the back before she walked off down the hall to Calista's room, disappearing in the shadows to get in.
