"No problem." Amber stared straight across from her, looking at particularly nothing at all as she moved her arm to nudge the young man in acknowledgement who not only gave her his life jacket earlier, but also helped her into the boat with the unknown child sitting on her lap. "But I should be thanking you instead." Even if he didn't remember. As stoic as she seemed, she couldn't stop the tears from leaking out of her eyes. She looked down at the little girl who sat on her other side and noticed the three letter name on the buckle of her belt, 'Mia'. Amber left one arm on the boy who clung to her and put her other arm around the young girl, seeing as she seemed to be all by herself, pulling her close to her and leaning her head on her, trying to give some sort of comfort. It was cold in this storm as the boat was being heaved into the water and the only warm feeling Amber could feel was the tears streaming down on her expressionless face. The sounds of the old man's repetitive leading drowned out a little as she sat there with nothing to think about, or nothing she wanted to think about that is.

Albert braced himself as his boat hit the water, hearing nothing but water and wind. There were paddles in the boat, but they were useless. The sea had it's own mind, and he couldn't be any more frightened for those people in the boat with him. It looked as though there was a small family, two children clutched on two laps; the porter who had helped him take the boat down to the sea; a girl with a child on her lap and one on her hip, both too old to be her own, sitting next to a teenage boy who had been helping to get people into the boat and didn't have a life Jacket; Albert himself, and a few stray people who had their backs to his side of the boat. Those he could not put a face to.
He kept his hands solidly on the seat, holding on for dear life. It was better than when they'd been in the air, at the mercy of the wind alone. At least now there was something substantial pushing them around, even if it was more likely to kill them. As he was at the head of the boat, he had access to the rudder, not that he could do anything with it. It was basically nothing but a large wooden flag at the moment, bobbing back and forth like two tennis players on the court.
---
Jason looked down at the woman, a girl, now that he could see her right. The little girl on her lap couldn't be hers, she was too old and the dates would just be awkward, and the same for the boy; but he supposed that was what happened when ships tipped, children got thrown to whoever could save them. Why was she thanking him, though? For helping her into the boat? For stabilizing her descent? And then he saw the life vest, and thought about how coincidences seemed to follow in the oddest situations. He would have responded to her, if he'd had time. The boat hit the water, and everyone was thrown to the side almost immediately. They all held on, they all needed to. No one fell out, yet, but Jason couldn't think of anything else happening. He made sure he had a watch on the little boy with Amber, knowing the kid was more than likely holding onto the girl rather than the boat.

[I hope no one minds, but I'm going to be covering a few hours for Veronica]
A couple hours before the storm had started Veronica made her way to the promenade deck. There wasn't any interesting activities at the time, and karaoke is usually after dinner. She figured that she'd waste a little time at the cafe. Sitting down with a good book while enjoying a nice soda with a warm slice of pizza. Perhaps a slice of cake after the pizza. She hoped they'd have that one called Opera slice again.
After getting a slice of pizza she sat down at the bar, and asked for a glass of soda. A good thing about unlimited passes is that she could have as much soda as she wished. After the bartender gave her the nice cold drink Veronica fetched a book from her backpack.
Before getting on the ship she put her books in ziplock backs so they wouldn't get wet. She figured she might be reading by the pool at some point. Sometimes her precautions were annoying. Not once did they do her any good.
She placed the backpack on the back of her chair, and began eating the slice of pizza. She didn't notice the bartender raise an eyebrow seeing the backpack. He just shrugged, and went on with his business.
She looked up from her book when she heard the first announcement. She didn't bother leaving her seat. In fact she asked for another slice of pizza. She went on with her reading until the boat started rocking. Her chair tipped over, and within seconds she was on her back.
Slightly annoyed she stood up, and pulled her pack from under the chair. Soon picking up the half-empty glass of soda she quickly finished the glass before picking the chair up. She finished the pizza before she started heading back to her room.
The swaying of the ship was making it hard for her to walk. In fact she fell over a few times. It didn't help the fact that she had bad balance to begin with. However soon enough she was in her room. As her cautious nature she pulled out a life jacket even though she knew she'd probably didn't even need it. Then again this storm did seem pretty bad.
Veronica was quick to put the life vest on when she heard the second announcement go off. Before leaving the room she thought about taking a towel with her. But figured that would have been pointless. She did however stuff a couple two piece swim suits, with some spare clothes into a plastic back, and stuffed it in her backpack.
Soon she was out of her room. She was having a hard time navigating the halls due to the panic. It took a lot of effort not to fall over. When she got to the deck she spotted a nearby life boat. But because of the crowd it was impossible to get to it.
Trying to get by the crowd Veronica had lost her balance. The ship had tilted where she'd slip off the ship. As much as she tried to grab onto something she wasn't able to reach. Time seemed to have slowed down as she fell into the water below. Panic prevented her from screaming out. No one noticed her either. At least it didn't look like it.
When she hit the water she was overcome with vertigo. Even though it felt like hours but within seconds she was floating. When she looked around she noticed she drifted too far from the ship for any hope to get back.
Taking a look around she noticed she wasn't the only one that went overboard. Not wanting to be alone she tried to swim towards them.

((I think everyone is just about at the point where we can pretty much all end up on the island. I just would like everyone to post their approval and we can do a basic time skip to the next day, to where everyone should have landed or about to land on the island. Is that all right with everyone? Once I get approval, I'll do an official skip.))

((No worries Ninja, it's fine.)) ~Time Skip~ Sara laid on the ground, her eyes closed as she slowly gained consciousness. She could feel the gritty sand underneath her and flexed her fingers in it. There was water lapping at her feet as well, and she finally opened her eyes. The sun burned and she quickly closed them. She opened again, avoiding looking up and sat finally. There was the ocean, as calm as could be. She looked behind her, noticing the trees. A beach. She had landed on land. She was surprised. She had survived. She was alive.

Veronica's body would eventually wash up on shore. She was alive, yet she was unconscious. She just barely managed to hang onto her backpack. Her pink locks clung her to face as she laid there. She opened her eyes trying to remember what happened. She remembered tripping, and falling off the ship. But she didn't remember anything after that.
Soon she'd sit up, and look a look around. She felt too tried to get to her feet any time soon.

The sounds of the tide coming in and washing back out and the waves rolling and waving repeated in her ears, making her feel dizzy, hearing the sounds of rising and receding, but not feeling the boat float up and down. She pulled her head up after sleeping with it leaned over the outside of the small lifeboat, her hair dried itself onto her face. She sighed out a breath, staring down at what weighed on her body and remembered the child she pulled kept with her as well as the young girl that leaned on her while she slept. The sun glared at her vision, making everything bright as she sat there, unsure of how to get up, blinking her eyes,to clear her vision and give them chance to get used to the sun light, as she looked around to where they could possibly be.
They obvious weren't in the middle of the ocean anymore if she didn't feel the boat floating around. Instead of just water, she saw sand, reflecting in the light that the sun gave and trees, lots of them, just a bit further away from the ocean. And apart from this, obviously more water.

Jason groaned, arms feeling like jelly. Next to him, he heard the old man who he'd assisted with the boat on its perilous journey stirring. He threw a hand to his head and forced himself to sit up and ignore the dizziness that hit him like a wave. As he tried to catch his senses, he heard a soft cussing and leaned his head sideways.
Albert kept the cussing in his daily life to a minimum, but the thoughts of what had happened the night before had hit him like a ton of bricks when he'd woken up. The family jumping from their lifeboat onto another because of the leak that had sprung, despite the protests of the other survivors and the rise and fall of the sea. Watching them get lost to the water, and the Porter after that, slipping off the bow and plunging below. The teens in the middle of the boat had been able to keep their heads, at least a little. He could remember the young man sitting in front of him grabbing a paddle and snapping it clean at the handle to plug the hole with the wood. Then he'd grabbed a new paddle and Albert had joined him in fighting the waves, trying to steer toward the rest of the boats; getting blown off course in the process, losing strength quickly.
The girl had kept the children safe, and he couldn't be more proud to see both teenagers safe' one in the boat and another on the sand, just beginning to rise.
"You kids alright?" Albert heard his voice crack, and he could feel how dry his lips were, and his throat. The salt had dried him up pretty good. "And how about those babies?"
Jason struggled to fit words to his mouth, but blinked sand out of his eyes and tried to focus. "I'm just fine..." He turned his head to the side, searching the boat for the figure of the girl from the night before, and her two little charges.
