Here is some phrases for you:


Chotto, sumimasen ga...
Means: Excuse me...
Pronouce it like: CHOHT - toh, (Chotto) soo-mee-mah-sehn (Sumimasen) gah (ga)


Hai, nan deshō.
Means: Yes, may I help you?
Pronouce it like: HAH-ee (Hai) nahn (nan) deh-shoh (deshō)

I don't really know all that much Japanese; I've only been taking it a few times a week since school started.
I know Hiragana and I'm self learning Katakana.
I know a few simple phrases...

Never - Dame
I'm home - Tadaima
Just a minute - Cho-to ma-te [I am a passionate hater of doing double letters to show the little tsu xD]
Lets eat/I accept with gratitude - Itadakimas [I think I'm a few letters off; I just learned this one.]
Sorry/excuse me - Sumimasen
May I go to the toilet/washroom? - Toire ni itemo ii des ka
Sorry/excuse me, I have become late - Sumimasen, osokunari mashita
Lend me [Pencil] - [Enpitsu] kashite
Give me back [Pencil] - [Enpitsu] kaeshite
Useless/Hopeless (as in, you are) - Shouganai
Hurtful (as in, you are) - Hidoi
You have a pretty/clean [mother] - Kireina [okaasan] des ne [okay, not so much of a "simple phrase" xD]

And... I do know more, but eh.
