I've never crossed paths with a celebrity before... well, at least not in a manner like my professor's. I have technically have had a celebrity as my professor for my TV/Movie Acting class I did back in community college. My professor was Shelly Lipkin - you can watch his actor reel here. Or just look at what works he's been in here.

I guess that itself is pretty impressive to think about. That I was taught by a celebrity. Maybe a lesser known celebrity... but still a celebrity none the less.

Yesterday my school had a open house event at our student commons building. I briefly went to it - just stayed long enough to have a piece of donut, a Mardi Gras themed cupcake and some pop ((Lemon-Lime soda mixed with Orange soda))... and to talk to a guy I've met a couple times before. Yesterday I would've been totally up to talking about my whole encounter with the guy... but today I don't feel like it. I just want to move on from it. All I'm going to say is that what I thought was just a friendly conversation ended up being him flirting with me and ending up asking if he could take me out. My response was basically a no. I'm not going to date some "stranger" - I would prefer to date someone who I have created a strong friendship with. I've made too many mistakes in the past of falling for guys - or even just dating guys - that I barely was friends with. Not going to make that mistake again. Not that I would even consider dating this guy in the first place; he's not even my type.

I was thinking about my statement that I made earlier about me not crossing paths with celebrities before... and I've come to the conclusion that I need to retract that statement. I've had countless encounters with celebrities, especially at the community college I went to. So... yeah.Celebrities I've met: Shelly Lipkin (actor), Lynn and Alex (from The Amazing Race 7), Jennifer Lanier (local entertainer/speaker about the Queer community), American Nobody/Brian Granse (music artist), Jerin Falkner (music artist)... and probably a few others that I can't recall at this time.

Although technically I'm finished with my reading, I've continued to read more of Benjamin Franklin's "Autobiography" to see if there's any mention of the distant relative of my ancestor. *shrugs* And Franklin's piece quite long. I'm barely even finished with part one... of four, I believe. Yeah... *laughs*
