He looked at her, seriously at first, them a smile came to his face. "Pirates. It's a hazard we will always deal with." He looked at her softly. "Don't worry. I'll do my best to keep you and the crew safe." His calm tone proved a truth in his words. As first mate it was his duty to protect the crew and Captain. As an animal, it was his honor. That and his gauntlet had a few tricks in it.

Kira gave a soft smile before looking out to the sea infront of them and the back og the Sea-Witch "i hope Hickot knows what he's doing...."

Scott nodded at that and followed her gaze. "He is the girl's father. If he doesn't know what to do now, he will soon." He put his hand on Kira's shoulder to comfort her thoughts.

He let silence reign. If Kira had something to tell Scott, she would. He just didn't have anything else to say.

Kira looked to Scott out of the corner of her eye "have you ever thought about having a family Scott?....." She looked back out infront of her, once again taking a mouth full of rum as she followed in the path of the gargantuan vessel forging on infront of them that was the Sea-Witch.

"In that hopper, there's one missing... And then, we need to do the same for the rest. it's a max of 3 per cannon, to what it's written on the hopper. We're pretty much loading them up so we can use them when the time is needed." he said as he counted the cannons and doing the math inside of his head to plan how much cannon balls they would need. "I guess my parents had in mind that I'd be a rough guy, I guess..." He shrugged " Even though a name's just a name. They don't necessarily describe the person, it's only to identify someone. Look at you. Your name is very feminine and yet, you're so strong. I'm not saying your not feminine, I'm only saying your much stronger than most girls out there. Not many people have managed to move me aside in a battle like you did. "

(hmm 6 cannons)
Lilly loaded the cannons with Rock but when he mentioned her name she stopped. "I hate my name..." she said softly and her hair covered her eyes as she went to get another cannon ball.
"Hmm maybe Reef is polishing his armor." Sophie said as she looked up at the stary night sky. "What's the name of the island we're heading to?" she asked Rano.

"How so?" Rock asked before he groaned as he lifted another ball and started walking to the farther cannons. The weight of the balls really slowed him down, so it took him a minute to reach it.

Rock placed the ball in the hopper and turned around and saw her shaking. He sprinted across the room to be upon her again, his arms wrapped around her in a tight embrace. "It's okay... We all have dark secrets..." Rock whispered.
