[ I ] { A } mnot that person who can just instantly trust people. [ I ] { A } mthat person with the guilty heart. Ashriel snapped at Lixini. "How would I know?" It wasn't the first time she'd gotten into this mood- in fact, it was fairly common for Ash to be just so stubborn that she made herself angry. She continued quickly to her seat, sitting down. Jennalin glanced at Raevyn raising her eyebrow.
Jen whispered under her breath, knowing that Ash wouldn't hear. "What did you do?" She knew it was more than likely something he did, due to the type of anger Ash had. If it had been something Ash had actually done, she would be in tears. [ I ] { A } m that shy person that is forced to speak. [ I ] { A } m that quietly loud person that seems to be able to be both at the same time. [ I ] { A } m not ready for this

 The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn sat on Ashriel's foot, still worrying her pants with his teeth. He paused to look up at Jennalin and blinked. "I didn't realize she was that squeamish. I teased her and she threw up. Now she thinks it's her fault, somehow. I'm still trying to see how." He explained to her, excluding Ashriel from hearing him.
((I'm off to bed for the night. Night!!))  The tiger that should be....isn't....

Just tell her that it's fine. That she didn't hurt anything. She'll settle- normally." She whispered quietly, watching the teacher walk in.
Ashriel kicked her foot once, with Raevyn there. She didn't care what her teacher thought, as long as she didn't call animal control. [ I ] { A } m that shy person that is forced to speak. The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn was about to do as Jen suggestion and talk to Ashriel when her shoe suddenly collided with him. He yelped and hissed, shooting out from under her desk. The teacher stared at him in surprise. He glanced towards her, hissed at Ashriel once more, then shot out of the classroom. There was a kind of stunned silence across the class until Lixini broke it. "Well, that was weird. Wonder what that was about?" She said thoughtfully, staring after the cat. The teacher gave herself a shake then started the class. A few minutes later, Raevyn stormed into class, ignoring the teacher's reprimand. He sat and sulked in his chair, glaring at Ashriel and nursing his sore ribs. The tiger that should be....isn't....

During the short period of time that Raevyn had been out of the room, Ashriel made herself a decision. She would not be going home tonight. She would not be going with Lix or Jen. Not going to Sanctuary, she didn't need his help. The girl could find a job on her own another day, right? Right.
The rest of the school day went by, Ash's doodles a...bit different than usual. She rushed out of the school without grabbing her things from her locker- another thing that was strange for her. Oddly enough, as she walked, she wound up at a place with a nice pond. A large oak stood in a small, tiny peninsula- it was the place she'd always come to cry when she was little. Sliding against the tree, Ash just broke down, confident that they wouldn't be able to find her. Lix and Jen didn't know about this spot, and how would Raevyn? The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn sulked for most of the day then seemed to perk up near the end. He liked going to Sanctuary, hanging out and being himself with the others there. When school ended, he headed to Ashriel's locker to pick her up and walk to the bar with her. He was confused when she wasn't there. Where could she have gone? A discreet sniff told him she hadn't been here since lunch. Frowning, he shoved his own stuff in his locker. He headed outside and found a quiet place to shift. As a cat, he headed back to the school, looking for the freshest trail of Ashriel's scent. Finally, in the confusion of scents, he found it. Nose to the ground, he began following it, confused as it lead away from everywhere he knew Ashriel liked. He couldn't think of what would be in this direction. The tiger that should be....isn't....

She threw random sticks and stones to the pond, relieving the tiny bit of anger that had been inside of her. But really, it was all just sadness. Upset that she couldn't do anything right. That's why she couldn't maintain a job for even a year. Because she always messed up everything. [ I ] { A } m that shy person that is forced to speak. The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn followed his nose, footsteps light and silent as he tracked Ashriel. When he finally spotted her, he paused. She looked so upset. Silently, he crept closer. He moved to sit on her lap, purring softly. He didn't say a word, merely curling up and purring comfortingly, silently telling her everything was alright. The tiger that should be....isn't....

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn reached up to touch his nose to Ashriel's lightly. "I don't mind. Go ahead." He told her softly, still purring. He brushed his cheek against hers comfortingly. "It's alright." It was hard to say just what he was saying was alright. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Her grip was loose enough that it shouldn't hurt him in anyway, but tight enough to show how scared she was of loosing him, too. [ I ] { A } m that shy person that is forced to speak. The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn wondered what had brought on this huggy mood. He didn't ask though, for fear of provoking her. He would ask later, when she wasn't so upset. He wondered when he'd come to mean so much to her that she accepted comfort from him. All these thoughts ran rampant though his mind silently. Outwardly, he simply purred and nuzzled Ashriel softly, content to do what he could. Whatever was wrong, he wanted to fix it. He didn't like seeing her like this. After a few moments, he pulled away from Ashriel, giving himself room. He shifted to human then gathered her up in his arms, holding her close. "It'll be alright." He murmured softly, stroking her hair gently. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Her breathing was calm, and the tears were slowly stopping. Okay, so only lately had she gotten a chance to stop and think about everything- which resulted in her break down. I know the feeling." He hesitated, then offered. "Wanna talk about it? It's fine if you don't." He added hastily. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Was there really anything she could talk about? Well, there was the actual reason she was crying- but he'd end up blaming himself instead of her, so she couldn't tell him that. Not the thing that kept her tears flowing, nor the guilt she was feeling. "No...there isn't anything I can think of to talk about." She was still hugging him, oddly enough.
