Tori cheered, running out the door into the snow. After a second or two he started shivering.
"It's cold!" he said to everyone, crossing his arms to keep warm. He folded his wings around himself to keep warm too.
Dentar looked up and smiled, nodding and thanking Meiyu. Watching his cousin run into the snow, he laughed. Had he never seen snow before?
Sebastion laughed and walked out as well, shaking his head. His nephew was such a child.
"Lucian never let you out during winter, did he?" he asked.

"I told you it would be cold." Fang tsked, and laughed a little, going after him.
Meiyu waited for Tori's response.

Walking up to Fang, shivering, Tori hugged her. He sighed at the heat, smiling.
"You're so warm," he said with a smile, hearing a heaving sound in the background.
Looking at Meiyu, he nodded. Might as well go and get used to this.
"Yup, let's go!" he said with a laugh, spinning Fang in a circle.

((ugh, I screwed up my solo crying ))
Fang giggled, and spun, stick out her leg just a little and spun like a dancer, like her mother used to. Gods, it'd been so long.
She leapt a little, to kiss his cheek, and poked his nose, before saying, "Don't go getting frost bite, now." she joked, and took his hand, following Meiyu as he led the procession outside, and towards the trail.

Tori followed like a puppy, happy and smiling. He was shivering a little bit, but it was fine.
"What's frostbite? Is it a monster?" he asked with a happy smile, looking around at all of the snow. He stumbled a little when he saw something move.
"Uncle, what type of animals live out here?" he asked with a raised eyebrow, still staring in that direction.
Sebastion looked back at Tori with a smile. He figured he would get this question.
"Squirrels, rabbits, deer, stuff like that," he said with a shrug, "Why?"

Fang rolled her eyes, "Definately not, but it can be just as nasty." She hissed a little, holding up her hand and promptly turned it black, before letting it go normal. She nodded, as Meiyu added,
"Yes...but the creature we're looking for is much different."
((If I don't reply, it's because I'm gunna go shopping for supplies, and I've got a 2o minute make-up gag for my cosmotology folder for college. Not long, promise))

Tori made a face at the color her skin turned and looked at Meiyu and Uncle again.
"Cause I just saw something that looked like a lion with wings," he said with a wondering expression. Were those native around here? Uncle said that it was near the base of the mountain. Why would the creature be here?

"Perhaps it's what we're looking for..." Meiyu smiled widely and went to him, "Which direction, Torisen?"
Fang turned on her heel, poised, in case the animal was dangerous.

Sebastion's face lit up like a candle in a dark room. Maybe it was their animal! However, something bothered him. What was the animal doing here? If it was dangerous, then he didn't like it so close to his home.
Tori pointed towards a large mound of snow, where the foliage got thicker and lead into something that looked like a forest.
"That way," he said, getting on alert as well. He probably wouldn't have to fight, but he wanted to be ready.
Dentar looked the way Tori pointed and tilted his head. From what he knew, this animal was supposed to live on the mountain, not in the forest. What was going on?

((I sang the wrong part for almost a full measure crying ))
Meiyu had similar thoughts, and crept towards Fang and Tori, whispering to Dentar, "Stay close, and no wandering." He cared too much for the boy, already, to let him get hurt.
Fang was itching to make a change, and her aura wings fluttered anxiously, "Want me to do surveilance from the sky?"

Tori, actually taking incentive, shook his head at her.
"That might not be a good idea," he said, getting closer to the group, "If you fly and they have wings, it's a good guess they can fly too."
Sebastion looked at Tori, impressed. It was a good induction.
"Do you want to lead Meiyu, or should I?" he asked, looking at the kids. out of all of them, Dentar should be protected the most. Tori wasn't unversed in the ways of battle, but he would prefer if someone who had been fighting for real was ahead of the younger ones. So Fang it was.
Dentar had only trained in fighting before, and not very well. When Meiyu said to get close he did, keeping his fists balled. He hoped he wouldn't be attacked.
((Aw, that sucks, I'm sorry. If it makes you feel any better I owe a piercing place 25 bucks now because I'm dumb.))

Fang nodded, "Yes, I guess that's smart." she nodded, and looked to Meiyu. She changed her shape very small-ly, she grew a few inches, and her arms gained just a little bulk.
Meiyu turned to Sebastian, "I believe you should go first, because I'm not from around here, I do not know what is normal and what is not, nor do I know the way." Meiyu didn't look the least bit unnerved.

((My cartilage piercing fell out and down the bathtub drain so I had to go get it replaced. I thought it was going to be free because they changed out jewelry for free before, and now I owe them 25 bucks because that's how much it costs. -.-))
Sebastion nodded, taking point and heading towards the woods. They weren't very dark, but they still had a strange vibe to them.
"How big can you tell from it's tracks?" he asked Meiyu, stepping beside one of them. He didn't want to alter them.
Tori scanned and watched, trying to stay alert.

Meiyu looked at the tracked carefully, "Anywhere between 4 and 6 feet long." He bit his bottom lip, and straightened up.
"Fang, can you smell it?"
"Yes."

((Yup. Thank god I get paid tonight so I can get them the money tomorrow...))
Looking around, Tori didn't see anything moving except a tree. It's branches were waving a bit. Hm, maybe it was the--
Tori blinked, getting ready to fight. If it was the wind then all of the trees would be moving.
The creature descended, shifting slowly for effect. His four paws became arms and legs, though his wings remained. His hair was long, down to his ankles, and his eyes were that of the cats, yellow and blazing. With a smile that could shatter stone walls he landed, holding out his arms.
"Do you have a patron God?" he asked them slowly, scanning the group for the weak link, "If so, you might want to curse them. If you don't now, you will later."
