ShineGreymon entered the Club. Lights blared, reflecting off the glass tables, bouncing across the dancefloor. He could feel the music in his bones, the bass-lines pumping through the air from the giant speakers by the DJ's booth. All around him were Digimon of all shapes and sizes. Here at Club Luck it didn't matter where you came from, or the coding in your data. Here Viruses could party with Vaccines, Rookies with Megas. That's just how it rolled here.
ShineGreymon walked across the room to the bar, requesting his usual, Club Luck's "Dance all Night Elixer" No-one knew what was inside the concoction, but whaterver it was, it helped keep you going and going and going. The bar-man handed ShineGreymon the drink and returned to his duties. ShineGreymon nodded in appreciation, placed the money on the desk and strolled away, looking to get the night started.
He settled by the dancefloor, watching a group of Angewomon rocking out, he sipped on his drink, smirking. After a few minutes one of the Angelic Digimon noticed and giggled, whispering to her friends. They all looked at him and nodded. The group of 4 floated from the dance floor and towards ShineGreymon giggling.
"Why hello there Big Boy, care to try your luck with us?"
SnineGreymon gave a cheeky smirk and downed the Elixer.
"You bet your pretty white a** I will!"
Getting to his feet, the Angewomon draped themselves over him, hugging his arms and shoulders as he strolled towards the dance-floor, groups of other Digimon looked at him in awe, the men nodding in respect and the women enviously scowling at the four divine women clinging to him. As he approached the center of the floor his favourite new song blasted out of the speakers, his smirk grew into a full blown smile as the bass-line began to pound across the floor, the chours flowed out nice and steady, the Angewomon floated back as he tapped his foot to the beat. All eyes were on him, this what he lived for, the attention of the masses all on him, proving himself to be the best of the best.
The main tune kicked in with a boom sparking a cheer from the crowd, ShineGreymon threw his hands into the air and erupted into a supurb combo of shuffles and rocks, weaving them together to make him look like he'd perfected the dance earlier. In actuality he was making it up on the fly. As the chourus came back he held out his hand to one of the Angewomon and spun her around the floor, over his head, through his legs the music paused for a moment ShineGreymon knew what as next, he threw Angewomon into the air and shouted in perfect harmony with the track:
"Every Day I'm Shuffle'in"'
As Angewomon fell back into his arms the crowd exploded, joining in the dance with a furious excitment. All around ShineGreymon could see immitations of his dance moves, not quite as good obviously but he was flattered none the less. Together he and his date danced, he could see the flurry of bodies brushing past him, crawling about the dancefloor like a coleny of ants. But there was one thing. One thing that elated his spirits more than anything. He was king. Everyone was in awe of him. Another high octane song pounded out of the speakers. It filled the floor and made the windows shake. Everyone turned to see what ShineGreymon would do. He bowed his head. Waiting. As the main medly approached the crowd began to cheer, to go wild with anticipation. ShineGreymon licked his lips, this was it. The point in the night he lived for, the utter ecstacy that he felt when the whole world was watching!
"More...More...More... NOW!"
In perfect harmony with the music, ShineGreymon erupted into a torrent of flame that blasted from floor to ceiling. After a few dumbfounded seconds, someone cheered, infecting the whole crowd causing a wave of deafening applause and cries to overpower his sences. All was lost, sight, sound, feeling. Nothing but a feeling of purest pleasure filled his mind as the flames covered him. The heat set off the sprinklers causing steam to rise from the pillar of fire. ShineGreymon's eyes rolled back from the inside of his head. He cancelled the fire and allowed the water to douse him, watching the crowd party around him. Angewomon floated arms crossed smiling at him.
"Hot stuff huh?"
She chuckled and floated over to him, spiralling around his arms and legs.
"Not bad..."
She placed a kiss on his lips, fleeting but enough to entice him.
"See you Big Boy..."
She darted off into the crowd, dodging into the Digimon there, mixing and vanishing from sight. ShineGreymon held out a hand after her but lost sight of her. He shrugged and returned to dancing.
ShineGreymon checked the clock. He'd been here for 5 hours without noticing.
"Good drink..."
He strolled off the dancefloor and headed for the door, high-fiving and shaking hands with fans as he went. As he reached the door, the music stopped. Again all the eyes were looking at him. He smirked and turned to face them all. He scanned every face there, looking for her. But alas no matter how hard he looked the girl of his dreams was nowhere to be found. Sighing he lifted a fist into the air and, as if on que, the whole club roared in appreciation, the music kicked back in and everyone started dancing again. He looked at this. His Club. His Kingdom. Turning he opened the door, still on a high from being the whole world's main attraction.
Walking alone down the stree he saw a figure leaning against the building."Hey 'Hot Stuff' where're you off to?"
ShineGreymon smiled at Angewomon.
"Well I'm off home. Fancy joining me?"
The Angemon gave a cheeky grin and draped herself over his arm. Taking that as a yes ShineGreymon walked into the sunset. This had been one hell of a night. And it was about to get much better...
