The sudden silence from his compatriot told the prince he may have gone overboard a bit on his goading. No quips or rebuttals to his words to an extent surprised him as he looked down at Aurum. What to say he was unsure of so instead Kael kept walking at his pace. His strides shortened so she could keep up with him. It wouldn't take them long before they got out of the town and he would be able to remove the visage he wore. As they walked a tingle started to rise up from his fingers, likely from the alcohol he had finished off earlier. Before the feeling took hold they needed to get out of town before the glimmer broke.

Aurum didn't notice that he had to slow down for her, but she did notice he was no longer prodding her. When the two finally broke free of the town, and got a small ways into the surrounding trees, the dragon came to a halt and touched the man for the first time since they began their travels. Since her stop was sudden, and since she took a gentle grip to his arm at the elbo, his stop might have been just as sudden if unprepared. "Take off the glimmer," She said, though it wasn't accompanied by her smiling or previous banter. It had a gentle tone that suggested perhaps she preferred him without it. The dragon let go of him after he had stopped with her, and crouched to the ground and began going through her pack. She pulled out the flask, which had somehow made it to the bottom of the pack, and took a drink before offering one to Kael, still crouched.

Being stopped suddenly Kaelthas looked to Aurum as she crouched down. She didn't need to tell him twice as he lifted his hand to his face and drug it down. As he did the glimmer was stripped away as his regular form returned. Exhaling slightly Kael put his head in his hands. He was feeling a bit woozy since the alcohol had been given a time to set with him. Looking towards her flask this time he gave a nod as he took it and pulled a swig down. Handing it back to her Kael sat down on the ground. He stumbled slightly as he was going to the ground but caught himself as he sat down. Her tone was one he hadn't heard yet as he looked over at her while they sat there. "So, why the sudden want to stop?"

"I got bread for us, if you want some," Said the woman with a tug of a smile, who watched as he sat and decided to do the same, crossing her legs and setting the flask to the side as she got into her pack again and pulled two small loaves of some bread that might have better served as a sort of dessert that were wrapped individually and neatly in thin cloth. She took one for herself and set the other in front of the man, who was far more appealing without the glimmer of a wolf over him.. her eyes stayed a little longer than normal and her cheeks got a half a shade darker, but she looked down to her treat that took two tiny hands and took a bite. Chewing quietly and not looking back up to the human, Aurum finished at least two more small bites and finished them before she took another drink of the cool water and glanced to 'John' for a brief moment.

Taking a few slow breath's to try to shake some of the dizziness he was starting to feel Kael nodded some at her words of the bread. It may work to soak up the alcohol in his stomach if he did take it. "Sure I will have some" he commented after a moment as she was digging thru her pack. He hadn't caught her gaze towards him as the food was placed by him. It looked more like a cake then bread as she had said. Taking it he took a few small bites of it. It was in fact bread but had a sweet flavor to it that was quite good. He hadn't eaten yet so the bread tho small hit the spot quite well. "Thank you" he said looking up at her as there was a break in the dizziness.

Noticing the man's wavering self and his own pink cheeks had the little dragoness smiling just a little wider, almost grinning, as she watched him after her drink. At first, her cheeks dimmed, but when he looked up and caught her staring, perhaps for a second time, they became almost a deep red and she gave a little shake of one hand, "It was nothing, there was a sale and I can't eat two," Aurum had attempted to have some jest in her tone, but it sounded a little forced and the dragon picked up her bread again and took another bite. She looked back down just to avert her eyes, some of her shorter locks falling from behind her long ears and framing her face and horns.. an interesting contrast to her rosy red cheeks and eyes. He's not so bad when he's not focused on business, thought Aurum with another bite, enjoying his company - just barely - for a change.

Lifting the bread to his mouth again, he took another few bites of it. A smile came over his face as she suddenly seemed to stumble on her tone over the bread. Chuckling lightly as the bread was helping him focus more the somewhat dizzying haze was starting to lift from him. Watching her, her noted a few of her features. Her cheeks likely reddened from the alcohol but they were a distracting contrast from the rest of her features. Leaning back on his hands Kael took a slow breath as he closed his eyes for a moment to try and ground himself.

Aurum pursed her lips at his chuckle, but by the time she thought of a clever quip and looked up to say it, he was already leaning back and taking slow breaths. Lips still pursed, the dragon gave a characteristic little huff through her nose and chomped off another bite before wrapping up her bread. She replaced the treat in the bag and took another drink from her flask before doing the same with it. The dragon's red cheeks very slowly dimmed and she looked to Kael again, "Having trouble holding it all down, huh?" This time, the teasing was not forced, and she had another toothy grin adorning her face. Aurum pushed some short hair behind her ears and gave a little laugh of her own, "I wonder how many drinks it would take you to be fun," She commented, giving a little scrunch of her nose as she kept grinning. It doesn't take many for him to be cute. that's for sure.. what a weird thought to have as she teased the human. Good thing she was already pink from the booze.

There is what he had in the few hours of their traveling together come to expect from Aurum. Her banter towards him that for a moment earlier he thought he may have lost due to his own sharp tongue. "I will say that the alcohol is much stronger then I had expected." The feeling of dizziness had all but passed in their time sitting there. "I wouldn't know. Alcohol is not much of my thing but I can see why it is to many." Finally leaning forwards Kael looked at Aurum his features a tad bit flushed. The alcohol and the mid day's sun had given him a light misting of sweat across his features. Looking at her he simply gave a small smirk to address her calling him boring. A thought of what Aurum would be like had they not stopped drinking popped into his mind for a moment drawing a larger smile to dance across his lips.

The young woman listened as he explained his so-so feelings toward the drink, but it didn't deter her cheerful disposition. Aurum just gave another soft laugh and sat up on her knees rather than remain criss-cross, her hands on the ground on either side of her. "I would say just a few more, and you might have even been asking the barmaid for a dance," This gained another laugh, teasing that he had not nearly had that much to drink, but that had they stayed longer he might have actually allowed the brew to hit him.. and yet there was a flirtatious chime to her laugh that had not been in any of her previous. The dragon herself noticed it and suddenly wished she still had her bread to stuff her mouth with. At least then she wouldn't embarrass herself by talking. Playful as she was, Aurum stuck a little of her pointed tongue out at Kael, "Might have even asked the bartender," Another chiming laugh followed more teasing.

"Just a few more between either of us and we may have been dancing together on the bar" Kael jested pointing out her own drunkeness as well. Even if she was good at holding her liquor drinking that much at her height would still have given some effect he presumed. "Then again, had we continued holding a glimmer would have proved difficult if not impossible." Tho them not being to far into the capital, suddenly a wolf turning into a human may have been a bad thing if he wasn't able to explain it away. Pushing himself up to you feet Kael steadied himself as he walked over to Aurum. Extending his hand down he gave a softer smile waiting to help her to her feet.

Aurum gave a roll of her eyes, "Only in your dreams," She said, watching the human before her with a cheerful expression. The dragon listened as he talked again, and she gave a little wave of her hand, "Besides, the glimmer was better looking," She joked, though from how she had asked him to remove it before.. well, that was't the case. Aurum watched the man have to steady himself, and then come and offer her one of his hands. The dragoness took his hand with both of her's, pulling herself up and then leaning down to grab her pack. She stuck a bit of her tongue out again, "Sure you're good? A little wobbly there," Grinning, she wasn't exactly top-notch herself.. when she stood she had wavered, when she grabbed the pack she paused after standing back up straight. Physical signs were there, even if subtle.

"Hmm a pleasant dream it would be" the prince said with a smirk as he watched the dragoness giving a light hearted flirt her way. He decided not to comment on her want for him to remove the glimmer earlier and instead simply gave a soft chuckle. "I am fine enough to continue travel. The worst it seems is over from the drink. You seem to be feeling it as well" he chuckled looking towards the direction they were going to be headed. "Are you sure you are right for travel" he prodded her with a sly smile.

Cheeks darkened a little at his words, but the dragoness rolled her eyes again and went to talk, but a little burp escaped her mouth when she opened it and that caused her to laugh. Aurum shook her head, "I've gone farther with more drinks," She said as she started to walk some, her short strides a little shorter than normal, making sure to wait for the man since she had just started. She glanced back to him just to flash a smile and speak again, "And I've gone farther with less," The dragon teased with a wink, finding a flirtatious double meaning to her words as she turned her head and continued on. Aurum's hips continued to sway as they had in the town, and she found herself blushing far less as air swept over her warm cheeks.

"I will be sure to remember such details for the future" Kael commented with a small smile a slight redness at her comment. Staying a little behind for a moment before catching up, Kael caught a glimpse of Aurum's hips swaying back and forth. He had to admit had he not known of her dragonic other half, at best he would have thought her a succubus by her figure. Taking a few widened step's he caught up next to her easily as they continued. The feeling of the warm air felt great across his skin as they strolled along.
