"Morning." Adrian said as he set Riley down before going over to give her a peck on the cheek as he took his plate.

"How'd you sleep?" Amaya asked, happy to see he looked a little happier since the night before. Perhaps it had been a good idea to send Riley in to wake him up.

"I dunno, better than I thought I would, I guess." Adrian said with a slight yawn.
"Hey mom, can I have another waffle?" Riley asked as he set his plate on the counter.

"Well that's better than nothing." She murmured. Taking out another waffle, she put it on Riley's plate and sent him along. "Hopefully today will be calm." She sighed, hoping it would indeed be a calm day.

"So when do you think she'll come out?" Adrian asked as he sat down next to Riley and stared at Cali's door.

"She usually sleeps in until nine or ten. It's only eight right now, so it could be a little while." Amaya said with a shrug. She wasn't sure how Cali would act when she actually came out, but the hope was that she would come out.

"I mean past that. She might not feel like coming out until much later." Adrian said with a sigh while Riley carried his plate into the kitchen before going to watch cartoons.

"If you get syrup on the couch you're in trouble!" Amaya called after Riley. "If she's not out by ten, I'll go get her." She told Adrian softly, hoping to ease his worries a bit.

"I'm done! There's no syrup to get anywhere!" Riley called back, not looking away from the tv.
"Alright, good luck with that." Adrian said with a sigh.

"Just give her time." Amaya murmured, reaching over to hold his hand and try to comfort him a little. She managed to make a waffle and eat it herself before she heard Cali's door open.
Cali was awakened by the smell of waffles. Grabbing the spoon and empty ice cream carton, she brought them out to the kitchen, ignoring her mother's raised eyebrows at the items as she took them to the dishwaher and trash respectively. Standing there for a few moments in silence, Cali tried to work up the courage to look at her parents. Finally she looked to Adrian, tears already rising to her eyes. "I'm sorry for what I said daddy..." She murmured with a sniffle.

"Cali..." Adrian's expression softened and looked much more relived. "C'mere..." he said getting up and pulling her into a hug. "It's okay, sweetie. It's only natural for you to want to know about your real dad..." he said softly.

Amaya let out a sigh of relief to see Cali apologize. It would mean Adrian wasn't upset anymore, though Cali most likely would be. She felt bad, knowing this was pretty much her fault, but she really wanted to forget Damien. She knew she never would though, and she'd have to do something for Cali to make her feel better about the whole issue.
Cali sobbed into Adrian's shoulder once he hugged her. She did want to know about her dad, but reading her mom's book was bringing lots of ugly things to light for the girl. She felt guilty for wanting to know about Damien and reminding Adrian he was her real dad. She was upset she didn't know her real dad and she was upset her mom never talked about him. Still too upset to say anything, Cali just continued to sob, hugging Adrian tight.

"Shhh...." Adrian continued to hold her for as long as Cali needed it until she calmed down. "Are you feeling hungry? Your mom made waffles." he offered with a faint smile trying to get her mind off things.

Cali slowly nodded, still sniffling as she took the plate her mother handed her, going over to the table to sit down and eat her waffle.
"Least she's not mad at you anymore." Amaya said softly, knowing she was far enough away that Cali wouldn't hear her.

"Why couldn't all the drama we've been through have lasted that short? One night and we've already made up." Adrian muttered to Amaya with a smile.
