Jaquel smiled as he watched her drift off to sleep. "I'm sorry..." he whispered as a feathered wing wrapped itself around Ariae as the two cuddled, Jaquel watching her sleep with a smile the entire time.

It was quite late in the morning, and Ariae had just mustered up the will to get out of bed. After last night's drinking and the fuzzy memories of many touching moments, among other things, getting out of that warm and comfortable bed seemed like a chore. She sighed softly to herself.

Jaquel's wings rustled slightly as he muttered sweet sentiments to Ariae in his sleep. When he drank, he didn't turn into an embarrassed drunk, he just got a nasty headache and got dizzy. Then a short while later pass out stone cold for a very long time.

Just as Ariae was about to slip out of bed, she faintly heard Jaquel's murmurings - which only drew her back inbetween the warm sheets and the soft mattress beneath.

"Good morning." Jaquel said with a tired smile as he finally opened his eyes to greet the day.

Jaquel's smile grew slightly at the sight of Ariae's. "I was wondering when I was going to get to see that smile again."

Ariae leaned in to lightly kiss Jaquel's forhead, cheeks lighting up brightly after hearing what he said about her smile. "Be good to me and I'll keep it." she promised.

Keeping her sweet smile and tone of voice, Ariae replied, "I don't know. I think it might have something to do with all of the drinking last night. It really helps to calm the nerves. That, plus, it shouldn't be hard to find you if you screw up."

"Well, there is that too...." Jaquel said, a little saddened that it wasn't due to the kindness of her heart forgiving him after all, but he didn't show it. She'd no doubt find a way to turn it back on him in the end, he just knew it. "Care for some breakfast?" he asked as he turned to get out of bed, wondering if Milly had gone back to talk to her mom.

Ariae nodded slightly, offering Jaquel a light kiss on the cheek before she slipped off of the bed as well. "Yes, I'd like some very much. Thank you."
Milly had explained everything to her mother late last night, and was currently slumbering peacefully in her room.

"So what are your thoughts on all this?" Riley asked curiously from another room, now staying with Marianne both because it was more convenient while he studied Runic, and because he could stand sleeping on the couch no more.
"Whatever you'd like, I aim to please." Jaquel said with a smile and servant-like bow before leaving the room to fix breakfast for the two of them.
