"I am...though it will take some time still to prepare...." Amaya muttered in a low tone. Too long had she been in the dark cavern. She wanted out, before Calista was too old to start remembering the horrid place.

"Right now....just be here for me..." Amaya said, relaxing her grip on the bed, nuzzling her head into his neck a little. She felt calm when she was with Adrian, if at least for a little while, and she needed to be calm when she could.

"I wouldn't have survived this long without you..." Amaya observed. She stared ahead of her, but it was something that had been on her mind lately.

A small smile traced her lips as she thought about the first time she met Adrian. "I could only stand to watch you drink away your sorrows for so long." She joked.

"Yeah...now if I can just use my skills for myself." Amaya sighed. She closed her eyes and relaxed a little, though a shiver went down her spine. "I've got a lot ahead of me..." She muttered.

"If we could be our own therapists, we wouldn't need them and we wouldn't have problems. But you're already starting to get through it. You'll do fine." Adrian said glancing briefly at the hot chocolate before a thought struck him. "....I still have marshmallows on my horns, don't I?" he asked, remembering this started with a failed attempt at cheering up Calista.

Looking up at his horns, Amaya smiled lightly and took one of the marshmallows off, holding it up in front of him. "Yep, it seems you do. Sorry the marshmallow monster didn't work." She said.

Adrian promptly bit the marshmallow out of Amaya's hand before speaking. "That's marshmallow demon. There's a difference you know. And it was worth a shot." he said pulling off the other marshmallow, offering it to Amaya as he held it up in front of him. "Marshmallow?"

"You almost took my fingers off." Amaya muttered, looking her hand over for a second before raising an eyebrow to Adrian's offer. "I like my marshmallows a little less stale and....hairy..." She said, picking one of Adrian's hairs off the marshmallow and letting it fall to the floor. "So I think I'll pass."

"Says the one constantly mussing up my hair." Adrian said before popping the hairless 'mallow in his mouth before reaching over for the cocoa, not wanting it to get cold and go to waste. "And proper hair care is hard with horns in the way."
