As Salvador held the jewel in his hand, he gazed into it's shining allure. That is until he dropped it from suddenly being burned. "Pinche puta!" He exclaimed waving his hand. Salvador went to the kitchen and turned on the faucet. he ran his hand under the cold water. "Ahhh..." The water was cool and soothing against his burned hand. After soaking it for a bit, the bodyguard looked through the cupboards for some ointment. This took a while however, seeing as everything was shadowed. He eventually found it. After which, Salvador took a rag and went back to the ruby to pick it up. He wasn't burned that time, thank God, but did notice some strange inscriptions. This only confirmed it belonged to Shadow. "The tables have turned, demonia." Salvador wrapped the jewel and set it on the shadowy glass coffee table.
While he wasn't doing anything, Salvador found it to be a good time to exercise. He went to bench pressing station and lifting weights. His current one rep max was a little over 240 pounds. He removed some of the weight so that it became 120 pounds; half of his max. Salvador then began pressing the weight.

Alex laid on Salvador's bed until much later after he had awoken. She was a late sleeper unless someone or something woke her up. She groaned a bit, rolling over. Her eyes fluttered open and for a moment she wasn't sure where she was. She sat up quickly alarmed and looking in each direction panicked...though stopped as her memory returned to her. Right.. She suddenly blushed madly seeing that she was in Salvador's bed. She quickly jumped off, feeling guilty now as the blush subsided, and went to go look for him. Eventually, she found him working out. "I'm so..so sorry for falling asleep on your bed. I really didn't mean to, I barely remember falling asleep.." She quickly says trying to apologize.

So I can escape this world for evermore. The black creature with the white mask of an eye and a mad grin was at the burning store. He was still taunting the store owner as he circled him in flames. Upon seeing a newcomer [Star] the creature acknowledged her by looking towards her. The eye on its mask even blinking. The creature dropped the burning sign and the sign was burnt to the point where it broke in half. The sign being for a pawn shop, and the store owner cried out more as it broke. The black creature continued to stare at the woman [Star] as its eye widened slightly.

Ghost came to the crime scene a fire in a moving fog he saw the shadow and threw small sticky explosives at it "You made a fatal mistake making me miss my most impotent meal of the day"

Salvador had reached forty reps when Alex had walked in and apologized for sleeping on his bed. The bodyguard put his barbell back in holder before sitting up. Salvador was still naked save for his boxers; his muscular body exposed for Alex to see. He hadn't worked up a sweat however. forty reps on 120 was pretty normal. "It's fine." He said waving her away. "Next time just let me know when you're getting sleepy." Salvador stood up and walked past the dainty scientist. "Do you have work today?" He asked as he went to the bathroom to take a shower. The bathroom itself was completely dark save for the natural light shining from the window.

I am no peaceful, beautiful dove..."Helps to be in the right mindset," Rowena said matter-of-factly in response to Jenos's complaint. "You're right. They're looking for something. Looks like we're on the same page there." A key on the monitor controls tapped into the other Titans' comm links. "The shadows are looking for something. Subdue them if you have to, but try to find out what it is they're looking for first." ...But nor am I an ugly, spiteful crow.

Alex didn't realize his exposed body until after he spoke and quickly turned around to not see, her blush back with twice the shade. "I would appreciate you not wearing only that when I'm here..please.." She says now covering her eyes with both hands though was only doing it to cover most of her blush. She waited until she heard his footsteps were dar in the distance before peeking to see if he had went into one of the rooms. "Uhm..I don't believe so..." She replies towards him with a raised voice so he heard regardless of distance.

So I can escape this world for evermore. (Xistund, I didn't quite understand your post...the crime scene (store on fire) only has one black creature yet it sounded like Ghost attacked three black creatures...)

Cryogon killed the car engine and went out to investigate the blaze. "Damn... Someone either didn't like what they found, or couldn't find what they needed here... That, or they can't stand jewelry..." He looked over to Star. "If we work together, we can put this thing out. You up for it?"

Salvador had turned the shower on just yet allowing him to hear Alex's complaints and response. He reveled in the thought of being able to go through with his plans. "Magnifico!" He shouted to Alex as he stepped inside the shower and turned it on. The bodyguard took a quick shower and and got out. Salvador snatch a fry towel off a small rack that was hanging over the toilet. He dried himself off and went to his room to change. He didn't really bother covering himself up while walking down the hall to his room. He figured that it was his apartment and Alex would have to get used to him. He wasn't being payed for how well he treated her; Just to keep her alive. Salvador went into his closet and picked out some clothes. Even though everything had become a shadow, his clothes were all. It was the same pants and shirt. Even they had become silhouettes, they were the same shade of brown when normal. "I think I need a new wardrobe.."
Salvador then got dressed and geared up. Before walking out however, Salvador took the time to lay out some of the bladed weapons that he and Alex talked about. He walked out into the hall and regrouped with Alex. "Ok. So since you don't have work, and I'm guessing you need to change, I might as well kill a few birds with same stone. I'll drive you to your place. While you're doing that, I'll be taking care of a few errands." Salvador then folded his arms. "Your purse is still my room. I laid out a few weapons for you. Don't cut yourself."The bodyguard himself was already armed with his giant signature magnum revolver that was holstered on his back and a multi-purpose throwing knife hidden up his sleeve.

"Hot chick passed on the ground in a back alleyway. What to do in a situation like this he muttered puling his headphones off and putting them around his neck. "Well there really is only one thing to do" he smirked bending down and lifting the girl up bridal style. "Rape tiem" he chuckled only joking of course as he headed back towards the apartment he was currently staying in. Gravity and the girl became nothing so he didn't have to strain at all as he carried her.

Whistling as he walked Brink got a few looks here and there but ignored them completely as he got to the apartment. "Home sweet home" he muttered heading upstairs by now carrying Alice with one hand her weight all but eliminated with his gravity powers. "Where is the key" he muttered looking thru his pocket finally finding it after a few moments and opening the door before walking inside. Closing the door behind him he walked Alice over to the bed tossing her onto it increasing gravity just a bit where she would lightly float down on the bed. "Now then a hot chick is passed out in your house. A feeling that your being controlled by some higher being and the thoughts that this is nothing but a very poorly made book. Check, check, and yep check." Heading to the kitchen Brink started to rummage to see what he had to either eat or drink stocked in his appartment.

Alex cooked breakfast during the shower, mostly for herself though since she figured since Salvador was awake before her he already ate. With her food, she went to the living room to eat only to see Salvador walk right past her nude. "Sal!" She whined, quickly covering her eyes like before. Her blush back now that she already had sigh of the whole thing. "At least respect that I'm a woman in your house.." She whined more waiting for him to leave to his room before peeking to make sure he did. She gave a sigh, her blush remaining still yet she attempted to cool it off. This man is so confusing.. She thought to herself clearing her mind of any mental images of anything before sitting on the couch to eat.
She was finished with her food by the time he was done getting dressed and already rinsed off her plate. "Well..I do need to get back to my place..." She thought aloud considering his words. "And I've had a knife before, remember?" She says now tossing a look towards him before she stood. She went to his room getting her purse that he mentioned and made sure everything was in it. She picked out the spring assist knife as her weapon of choice, putting on her arm band where she held her other knife. She missed her old knife yet didn't mind that much. "Best be going.." She says, going to the bathroom to fix her hair.

So I can escape this world for evermore. The black creature, really just a shadow, stood now turning its head to another newcomer [Ghost] as the mask looked at him. The eye on the mask blinking at him even though the eye was on the mask. The creature avoided the explosives flattening itself as a regular shadow on the ground before popping back up like a jack-in-the-box once the threat was gone.

Salvador waited for Alex to come back. In the meantime, he went to the glass coffee table and grabbed the rag that contained Shadow's ruby. He unwrapped the the cloth and gazed at the red jewel. Salvador couldn't help but feel empowered holding the jewel. Here he was in possession of Shadow's ruby; Shadow was a strange woman with unearthly powers. With the ruby, he was in charge. Salvador then shook his and dashed away the empowering thoughts. He promptly balled up the ruby in the cloth and stuffed it into his pocket. The bodyguard then went to get his motorcycle keys and then leaned back against his apartment door.
