"Pay me no mind. I told you I'd help you find your friend. Once we do, I'd just get in the way, and then the two of you have no doubt worried your families being gone all night. You have no reason to worry about an old monster like me." Lucien assured her calmly, maintaining his walk some paces behind her.

"Adriane. Adriane!" Zil called out, holding his chest as the exhaustion had gotten to him. He then began to call her by the nickname he often called her out of fondness, hoping she would recognize it was him faster. "Adie! Adie, where are you??"

"Maybe, but I can worry about a friend," said Adriane. Her head picked up when she heard Zil's calling again. "He has to be close!" she said. She began to call him name out louder, hoping he could hear her. She was starting to stumble on roots and such, but she was more worried about Zil than anything when she started to hear her nickname being called.

The closer they got, the clearer Zil's calls became. It wasn't long before the boy's silhouette could be seen through the snow, and it was then that Lucien decided to duck behind a tree and remain out of sight.

Zil began to see Adriane and his heart was reassured as he trudged forward, having learned the lesson from Luminette's story. All that was left now was to have the courage to say the things that needed to be said lest they end up like the Beauty and the Beast. "Adie! Adie, thank God. It's you!" He called out, holding his heart and panting of exhaustion as the silhouette of her became even clearer.

Adriane's heart skipped a few beats when she actually saw Zil's form. She ran to it, and jump/hugged onto his torso when she got close enough with enough force to knock them both into the snow. "Oh God, Zil, I thought you were dead!" she said, hugging him tightly, as if he was going to disappear if she didn't keep him close.

Zil gratefully embraced Adriane and held her closer to him as though in fear that she would be taken away once more. His arms wrapped around her body with his hands behind her head and on her back in a loving expression as though he were holding someone who was very dear to him - which she was. He pulled away from the embrace only to cup Adriane's face. He muttered to himself, "It-It really is you" He resisted the urge to kiss her and began to laugh with glee.

Adriane laughed too, smiling. "Of course it's me! Who else would come after your idiot self?" she asked, getting up off of him. She helped him out of the snow. "Come on, you must be freezing...We've got to get some food in you..." she said. She looked over her shoulder at were Lucien used to be. "Mr. Lucien...Where'd you go?" She kept one hand on Zil, as if to make sure he didn't walk away again.
((Is anyone else getting the "Adriane is oblivious" vibe?))

"Wait, wait!" Zil said, not letting Adriane drag him. "I met a friend. She kept me company during the storm and I really don't want to leave her until I've done something for her. It's strange, but I feel this is something I must do" He said, getting the feeling that there really was something urgent he could do. He was really happy, though, that Adriane was holding his hand. It warmed his heart.

Adriane looked at him, trying to tell if he was serious. There-that special glint in his eye that showed that he actually cared about something. She nodded, and said, "Sure. You lead the way, Mr. Lucien will follow us. I want to meet this friend of yours..." She smiled at him mischievously. "Especially if its a lady-friend..." Inside, though, she felt a pang of hurt....Zil had always been her friend, her protector....To think there was someone else...She beat the thoughts from her mind, and thought, Stop over-reacting and being jealous. He just met someone who helped him. That's all...

"Yeaahh... Well..." He hesitated and beat around the bush a while and finished, "I'm just wary if she'll show herself" Zil immediately took note that Adriane had a male companion with her but that would be revealed in time, once Adriane explains more. He had no need to rush her. He tugged her along towards the crevice from where he came from, feeling refreshed with a new vigor, now that he had found her friend.

((You haven't rp'd with me before, but I tend to do very evil things to my character's love lives...))
Adriane smiled. "Don't worry, Zil.I know its not like that...." She looked up at him. "If anything, she's come out because of that crazy mug..." She used her other hand to pinch his cheek, and then fell silent. She held onto him tightly, partly because he was so cold and was trying to warm him up, and partly because it hadn't sunk in that she had found him alive.

Zil could only smile when Adriane pinched her cheek and he proceeded to flat hers by placing both his hands on both her cheeks and applying a bit of pressure and shaking her head from side to side. He smiled gleefully and tugged on Adriane's hand, leading her towards the crevice where Minnie resided.
((OOC: =w= And I play more often the dominant, sadistic top. Zil is a bit of an exception though XD ))

Luminette could be seen sitting next to a large lump of snow near the crevice, one hand casually resting within the pile. If one could see within, they'd find that she was holding the skeletal hand of a body buried in frost. Those who knew her tale well enough might also be able to guess that this body was her own. For any passerby who dared ask, however, she would give nothing more than a passive dismissal of the topic when asked. Her tale was a story she'd willingly share with any who would listen. Her body, however, was a different matter entirely.
