"Probably tool around with my music for a bit. I've got a work in progress, now I just need to find the right tune and get the words to fit." Adrian said going to fetch his instrument.

"Pfft. Artists." Amaya muttered, rolling her eyes though she was only joking. The woman went over to her computer to begin typing away, hoping to get some things down before time got away from her and she'd have to go pick up Calista from school.

The apartment seemed much more peaceful for a while, just filled with the sound of Amaya typing away and the strumming of Adrian's guitar. But it was broken after a while by Adrian's cell phone going off. He quickly jumped up, scrambling to pull it out of the jacket pocket he left it in. "Hello?....Yeah, this is him...." One rather flustered and nervous conversation from Adrian's end later he hung up with a big sigh. "Finally got a producer interested in giving me a shot." he said as he plopped down on the couch, still somehow in awe that the conversation really just happened. "I've got a meeting with the guy in a couple weeks. Now I just need to hope I don't ******** up and make an idiot of myself."

Amaya had been typing away at a steady pace in the calm atmosphere, though she jumped when Adrian's cellphone broke her focus. She turned in her chair, watching him talk to whoever was on the other end until he finally took a seat and explained. "That's great! You won't ******** up, you're an amazing artist and you know it." Amaya said with a bright smile as she got up and walked over. "We should definitely celebrate your first call tonight. We can just lump celebrating everything." She told him, leaning down to his level, still smiling brightly as she kissed him.

"Celebrating everything? My possible record deal I understand, what else are we celebrating again?" Adrian asked as he blinked in confusion a few times. His brain was still trying to process things.

A dark blush came to Amaya's face as she straightened up and walked off to the kitchen. "Well I'll let you know later tonight when we celebrate your possible record deal." She told him, grabbing a glass of water now.

"O...kay....?" Adrian just looked even more confused. "I'm...just going back to my music now then....Lemme know when we need to leave soon..." he said as he headed back to their room where he'd been working.

"Can do." Amaya muttered in response, sighing as she shook her head. Already she was getting weird for her again. Fantastic. Finishing her water, Amaya spotted the time and cursed under her breath, running in their room to grab a light jacket. "I'm gonna go get Calista from school." She told Adrian, heading for the front door as she pulled on her jacket.

"Okay." Adrian said as he watched her rush out. He just sighed once she was gone, mentally going down the short list of possibilities he'd come up with of what Amaya was talking about before that would be reason to celebrate. Every one of them just made him more nervous than the last.

Amaya returned with Calista about a half an hour later, heading to the kitchen to make the girl a snack.
Meanwhile Calista ran into Amaya and Adrian's room, holding a paper in her hands. "Daddy I got an A on my spelling test!" She told him excitedly. She was beginning to call him daddy more lately instead of Adrian, though she still would go back to Adrian when she was angry at him, just because she noticed it would upset him.

"That's great!" Adrian said with a bright smile as he set his guitar aside and picked Calista up onto his lap. "Any hard words on there? Like supercalifragilisticexpialadocious?" he asked jokingly.

"Good, otherwise I'd think your teacher hated you." Adrian joked as he ruffled her hair while he took her test and looked it over.

"She showing you how smart she is?" Amaya asked with a smile as she appeared at the doorway, holding a glass of milk and cookies for Calista, who ran up and took them from her, immediately heading off to the kitchen.
