Ashriel took a deep breath and looked at Raevyn. "You sound surprised." She said calmly, quietly. Her fingers raked through her hair as she went back to the kitchen to figure out something she could cook. It wasn't the first time that she'd had an argument with either of her friends. But both Lixini and Jennalin knew that she was the reason, more or less, that they were a group of friends. She was pretty much the leader - she decided when they got together, where, and everything. None of them were quite sure as to why.
Quietly, Ash moved around the things within her fridge.

 The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn came to lean against the table, watching Ashriel. "I've just never seen you turn her away before. And uh, we have an issue." He said sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck. "If Lixini doesn't show up to school one of these days, I'm probably going to be the reason." He added in a mutter.  The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel, hearing the mutter just barely, shut her eyes for a moment, frowning. "What do you mean by that?" She questioned curiously. Even if she was mad at Lix, she still cared about her. It just meant Ash wouldn't acknowledge Lix unless Lix was in trouble. Closing the fridge, she changed her mind about eating something. "I'm not hungry anymore..." She muttered, stepping out of the kitchen now to head towards the bedroom.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn reached out and snagged Ashriel by the waist, stopping her. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that." He said, ashamed at himself. Lixini was Ashriel's friend so of course she would care. "I just meant that what I was talking about earlier has happened. Some were caught wind of her rumors. Lucian and at least one other were know about it. And if I know anything, this is going to spread fast. You need to be extra careful for the next while, okay?" He asked worriedly. He didn't want to see her get hurt for his folly. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel sighed lightly. "Well, today's Friday, so that isn't too much of a problem, so okay." She looked at Raevyn for a moment. Really, she wasn't hungry anymore. She was just plain too upset.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn watched her for a minute, then sighed. "Might as well be hung for the sheep as for the lamb." He muttered, not caring if Ashriel heard him. He pulled Ashriel closer and kissed her lightly. "This isn't just about pretending to date anymore." He whispered, watching her carefully. "I....I want to be your boyfriend, if you'd let me. I understand if you'd rather not, after all the danger I put you through, and what you will be put through." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel's stomach clenched as he pulled her close to kiss her again. There was only one answer she could give. "I'd...I'd actually like that..." She said quietly, looking up at him. This was what she'd been hoping for, actually. It was the best news she could get. Really, she'd been nervous about asking for a while. As for the matter of what she would be put through, she knew she would go through it either way thanks to the...misunderstanding with Lixini.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Thank you." Raevyn said with a sigh. What he'd told her earlier was true - Cats were the outcasts of the were's. Rarely did they have anyone. Even mates were together for only days, weeks at the most. "I'm sorry." He told her softly. "For everything I've put you through and everything you will go through. I doubt this will be an easy time for you." He didn't include himself in the worry, more worried about Ashriel than himself. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel grinned softly. "I'm sure I can handle it." Her determination showed in her voice; her eyes shone with the delight that he was actually willing to be her boyfriend - her first. Honestly, she was glad someone actually wanted her.
Downstairs, Lucian was bargaining with the proprietor of the apartments, getting himself into one. He finally managed to get an apartment next door to Ash's - of all places.

He liked it much better than when she was crying. He brushed the make-up on her cheeks lightly. "Might want to clean this off. You look so much better without it caked on." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel blushed, realizing that her make-up was noticeable. Oops. She nodded. "Perhaps I should..." Her stomach growled as she entertained the thought of actually going to wash it off. Why was it growling? She was definitely not hungry!

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn chuckled at the growl. "I could have sworn you said you weren't hungry." He said with a smirk. "Go on. Go wash that off. I'll get started on supper." He gave her a pat on the cheek then rose and began looking around the kitchen. "Any preferences or do I get to pick?" He asked, his head buried in the fridge. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel headed into the bathroom to wash off her make-up. "You get to pick because I'm NOT hungry." She answered, turning on the sink to wash her face. The door to the apartment next door, which had been empty before, opened and shut audibly.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn just smirked to himself. Hearing the door to the - supposedly - empty apartment slam, he jerked his head up. "Ow!" He cursed, having smacked it on the edge of the freezer. Rubbing at his head, he glared at the wall as if it was it's fault. Then his eyes widened. "Oh no. No. Please do not tell me......No, no, no." That was too much of a coincidence for his liking. Lucian says he'd get an apartment here and now the empty apartment next door had it's door opening and closing? The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel, having just finished washing off her make-up, rushed into the kitchen when she heard Raevyn. "Are you okay? She questioned curiously. Honestly, the new tenant next door didn't surprise her; after all, Raevyn didn't tell her anything about his conversation with Lucian other than the bit about at least one other Were knowing.
