The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn shrugged, then blinked as an idea occurred to him. Mama had never allowed it, but would Ashriel. "Could I....Could I stop and grab some catnip? Mama never allowed it, said it made us do silly things. But it's soooo good. Please? Can I? Please?" He was practically begging her. He hadn't had any in so long. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel frowned for a moment, thinking about what it did to cats. What would it do to him? Would it...would it make him act like he was drunk? That would be a sight to behold. But...did she want to? Was it her right to say no? She supposed it was, but she really didn't want to deny him this. After all, he'd done so much for her. "Fine. But you can't have it before work or school, or when we have to go out." That should work, right? She began to walk towards the apartment. Petsmart was on the way, and it had catnip...right?

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn grinned widely. "Thanks Ashriel!" He said happily, hugging her then trotting on ahead, impatient. He entered the store happily, hurrying to the isle of cat things. "Ooh....Hey, this one's got feathers!" He said, distracted by a feathered toy. It was easy to see his feline side now. He looked like a kid in a candy shop, so many choices around him. So many toys, cushions, jars of catnip, catnip filled toys, and much more. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel grinned as Raevyn was amused by the different toys. Wow, he really was just a kitten in a human body, she could swear. She giggled lightly at her own joke, perusing the other isle of cat-toys while Raevyn was distracted by that one. Maybe she could be sneaky enough...

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... With Raevyn so distracted by the toys, there was no need to be sneaky. He would happily spend all day here if he was allowed. It was why he usually didn't go into pet stores. They were way too addicting. He bounced happily up and down the aisle, trying to decide what to get. He didn't even notice Ashriel's absence, too busy trying not to blow his entire paycheck and then some. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel smiled, finally picking out a cat toy for Raevyn. He liked those fuzzy ball thingies, right? She took it quietly up to the register and paid for it, placing it within the bag within her purse - with an employee watching her, of course. Returning to Raevyn, she looked at him silently, leaning against the end of the isle. She could give him ten minutes in return for the...other shopping experience he'd had today.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn still didn't notice Ashriel's return, looking over two jars of catnip and comparing them. Finally, he made his decision - one jar of catnip, two jingle balls, and three little stuffies. Grinning happily, whistling a toneless tune, he went to the cashier and paid for them. It was only then that he remembered Ashriel and looked around for her. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel was right behind him when he decided to check-out. "Enjoy yourself?" She asked him, heading towards the door. Her purse held her little 'gift' to him: she'd give that to him some other time.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn grinned at her, happy as he'd ever been. "Yep!" He said as they walked outside. "I haven't had catnip in soo long. Mama's mean and won't let us have. Says we do silly things. I don't think so but it's her house so I won't argue. But you let me have catnip!" He flashed her a grateful grin. It was almost scary. If just the thought of catnip made him act like this, what was it like when he actually had some? The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel grinned. This would be...interesting. "Just remember: none until AFTER work. Which reminds me," She paused, brushing off her leggings as they walked towards the apartment building. "When we get home, we'll have about enough time to eat before we have to leave."

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn pouted at her but agreed. "Fine, fine. Besides, Mama would know I've been at the catnip again and send me right home." He told her sullenly. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel rolled her eyes as they reached the building. She walked up the stairs quickly and unlocked her door. "Okay, in that case, feel free to have some." So, she'd kept her opinion that she could raise the money on her own, that she didn't want him paying for her own home. Of course, the fact that she was just kidding echoed within her voice as she walked into her bedroom and hid the toy from her purse in her dresser. That way, one of the people at The Sanctuary wouldn't smell it.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn snorted. "Yeah right. Then I'd feel like a useless leech, playing around while you did all the work." He told her simply. He followed after Ashriel, ambling slowly into the bedroom. He began pulling the tags and things off his new toys, setting the toys on his pillow. He gave them a longing glance then stood and padded into the kitchen to start on lunch. The tiger that should be....isn't....

While Raevyn went to the kitchen, Ashriel went to actually brush her hair through. She pulled it up into a simplistic ponytail, smooth on top, before coming back out to see what Raevyn was making.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn was busy pouring the egg and ham mixture into the fry pan and scrambling it. Hearing Ashriel entering, he spoke without looking up from his work. "A nice light yet high energy lunch I figure. Should keep us going through the long evening." It was only a few minutes later before he put the first plate on the table, pushing it to Ashriel's seat. He turned back to the pan, pouring the rest of the mixture in and cooking it. The tiger that should be....isn't....
