 Well, I'm going to go ahead and log off from here. Especially since I'm mostly focusing on working on my novel, so I won't be posting much because of it, lol. So, talk to you later. And the next time I post here I'll try to remember to update you on what my progress was.#f51379

 So my set goal for the day I decided to work some more on my novel may have been a bit ambitious. While I never did reach that 200 page goal that I planned, I did reach 190 pages total. So close yet still so far away.
I'm sure once I get another chance to work on my novel, I'll be able to reach that 200 page mark.

There's one scene that I wrote during that writing period that I'm still trying to figure out whether I like it or not. I feel like I was forcing what the characters were supposed to be rather than just letting the scene flow out from me. I may end up scraping that and try rewriting the scene again. Hopefully that time around it'll turn out the way I had hoped it to be.

Decided to re-write that scene. I decided that it was the names of the characters that was making me displeased with the whole thing. Too much borrowing from other sources and not being true to the culture I wanted the characters to be a part of.

Just re-working that scene has bumped by page count up to 197. Talk about reaching the 200 page count quickly, lol.

 I know I could continue adding to the scene now that I've re-worked things and what not. But I'm not quite sure what I want my main character to do. It'll take a bit of thinking and re-collecting the creative energy to allow that part of the story to come out.

 It's hard to believe that January is already over. It felt like New Years wasn't that long ago. My goodness... time sure does fly by fast.

I finished reading Clockwork Prince a couple days ago. Absolutely loved it! If my friend doesn't get in contact with me soon to establish a day for me to give the book back to her, I may end up reading the book again. *laughs* Along with the first book of the series, Clockwork Angel as well.
I'm sure glad my friend Melissa introduced me to Cassandra Clare's books. She definitely has some talent.
