The dog changed forms into a dark, black wolf, right as it saw Raevyn in his panther form. Ashriel's breathing began to sound frightened as she tried to get away. The now-wolf bit onto her foot, preparing to drag her along.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Letting out the shrill screech of a wildcat, Raevyn jumped at the wolf, intending to land on it's back. He was not about to let them take HIS Ashriel. Those mangy mutts had to learn to leave his stuff alone. Hissing viciously, he swiped and clawed at the wolf, trying to make it let of Ashriel. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel moaned as the wolf bit deep into her leg before it yelped. It backed up for a moment, seemingly glaring at Raevyn before it ran. Perhaps it was going to get help? Ash tried to get up, staring at her now-bleeding leg.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn's snarl deepened as he heard the moan. When the wolf fled, he started to chase after it then remembered Ashriel. Snarling into the darkness, he turned and trotted back to Ashriel, returning to his human form. "Come on." His voice was clipped as if it were an effort just to form the words. He picked up Ashriel, holding her carefully as he carried her inside. He wasn't about to risk staying outside right now, not even long enough to get the wound looked at. He could do basic treatment at her apartment then go in the morning. His body was tense as he carried her, shifting her slightly to unlock the door. Closing and locking it behind them, he set Ashriel on the couch. "Let me see." He ordered, reaching for her leg. Despite his clipped voice, his hands were gentle as they rolled the pant leg up to see. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel's eyes closed for a moment as he lifted her; she was still shivering from fright. As soon as they were in, and she was on the couch, she moved to attempt to stand again. She instantly stopped when he wanted to see her leg. Sadly, she had only been wearing thin leggings, so the teeth easily broke through her skin and the thin layer of cloth. The wound was fairly deep, but not enough so that it went through to the bone. However, it did go a good centimeter or so in. "It's fine...I'm fine..." Ash said, perhaps to calm Raevyn.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "No, you are not fine." Raevyn told her, his voice just shy of a snarl. "I can't believe how bold they've gotten." He muttered to himself. "Sit and do not move." He said, giving Ashriel a look that said he was not going to be pleased if she disobeyed. He rose and padded into the bathroom, coming back with a small first aid kit, the kind that seemed to be standard in most houses. It wasn't enough to deal with the injuries Raevyn had had when they first met, but it would be enough for this. He sat on the ground in front of Ashriel and cleaned the wound before wrapping it gently with a bandage. "That should keep it for tonight. We'll get it checked out tomorrow. They won't be so bold as to attack during the day." Or at least, that was what he hoped. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"I'm sorry." Ash's voice was hushed as she watched him wrap her wound. She hadn't even tried to stand as he walked out, not wanting to frustrate him. Her fingers rose to brush over her ponytail, looking at Raevyn.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn sighed and rose to sit on the couch beside her. He put an arm over Ashriel's shoulders, drawing her close. "No. I'm the one who has to say sorry." His voice was sorrowful now, rather than clipped and angry. He'd been angry at himself and not at her. "I was stupid enough to leave your side when I knew they'd be back. I was stupid enough to draw you into this whole mess in the first place. I'm sorry." He hated the fact that Ashriel had been hurt by his stupidness. How could he have been so stupid, drawing Ashriel into his world even though he knew how dangerous it was. He'd been fighting his whole life, just to exist. "I'm sorry." He whispered.
((I'm off to bed. Night!)) The tiger that should be....isn't....

--night.-- Ashriel looked at him softly, keeping close. Even injured, she liked being so close to him. "It wasn't your fault. I chose to be part of your world, remember? Every step, it was my decision." She told him simply, her eyes moving to look into his. "Perhaps you left for a second; you were just excited. No problem with that. I tripped, which was what enabled the attack. My clumsiness, not yours. Besides..." Ash took a deep breath and sighed, deciding to tell him. "Even if it had been you who brought me into this mess, I'm glad to be here. Earlier today, I enjoyed myself for the first time since that day. Yesterday, I had my first kiss. You've saved my life on multiple occasions already. What if I had tripped in front of that car and you hadn't been there? Not to mention the fact that I only am still living here because you managed to help me find money for my rent. Believe me, you are doing me more good than harm." Her breathing calmed as she finished her little speech.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn cocked his head to the side, thinking. When she put it like that, it was a little hard to deny the good he'd done. His heart warmed to think that he'd been the one to make her enjoy herself finally. "Alright." He said, a small smile twitching at the corner of his mouth. "Let's get you to bed." He picked her up easily, carrying her to the bedroom with no effort. Setting her on the bed, he scowled at the toys on his own pillow. It was because of his excitement over those that Ashriel had been hurt. He dumped the toys onto the floor, kicking them under the bed. He didn't want to see them right now. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel didn't complain as he lifted her again, as she had a feeling that she probably couldn't walk. She watched as he shoved his toys onto the ground. Hm. For a moment, she was tempted to ask him why, but she had a feeling as to what the reason actually was. It could wait; she didn't need to bother him with that right now. Her eyes looked at Raevyn gently as she laid there. "Thank you..." Her voice was soft, sweet as she spoke; her hand reached up to pull the ponytail holder out of her hair.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "It's the least I can do." He said, going to her dresser and pulling out pajamas for her. He set them beside her on the bed, blushing. "You can do it yourself? Without aggravating the wound?" He asked, wanting to make sure she wouldn't do anything stupid. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at the pajamas quietly. The only way she could think of was if she could stand up. Her eyes moved to Raevyn. He would probably freak the moment she stood up, wouldn't he? Ah, well... It would be worth a shot. She attempted to stand, moving to the edge of the bed.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Sit!" Raevyn snapped at her suddenly. "Didn't I say without aggravating the wound? Doing things like that will definitely aggravate it." He shifted so that he was standing in Ashriel's way, preventing her from standing up. "Gods above, this is going to be embarrassing." He muttered to himself, the grabbed the pajama bottoms. "Sit with your legs hanging over the edge, but do not try to stand up." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel blushed vividly as she moved as Raevyn asked her to. He was right; this would be embarrassing. What about in the morning? What would she do then? She was definitely NOT going to let him mess with her undergarments. Quietly, she waited for him to begin...
