I aspire to be a writer when i get older, so if you wouldn't mind reading and commenting on my story, that would be great. a few things you need to know first. 1) I kno it's somewhat dark, but the world it takes place in is sort of a dark world. i'm not a person who is pessimistic so i won't try to ruin anyone's fun. xd 2) the second thing is that this is hopefully the prologue for my first book. i plan on sending it to a publisher when it's done. donate some money, and give almost all of whats left to my family. lol. so even though i have been here for only a night, i feel i can trust you. please PLEASE don't take it and make it your own lol. i hope you enjoy the beginning of my book Requiem (that's the name for it right now anyways.)

The snow landed quietly on the blank landscape. The only color in the large clearing was the sunset. The orange and red glow caressed the earth, giving it color and a soul. Above the slowly sinking ball of light was a band of black and stars, and then above that was a small band of the orange glowing light. The peace was broken as a woman ran out of the tree line. She was young, but looked at least thirty years older. She had brown hair with gray hairs invading, choking off the brown hair from the light and everything else. The few wrinkles she had on her face looked like a giant canyon. Her young green eyes flitted back and forth furtively. The cold, sharp wind bit into her, gnawing and tearing at any unprotected flesh. She huddled deeper into her giant fur coat. She looked behind her and made a hand motion to follow. “Hurry up children.” She said. Her voice was perturbed and urgent. Two children in fat, fluffy coats like the woman came carefully out of the pine trees. They were both around nine years old. One had long, silky hair. Her hair was an eggnog color, but it also was somewhat sandy. Her blue eyes were watering and all that was left was a small trickle. The boy had red scraggly hair. His face was covered in freckles. He sniffed, wiped his nose on his glove, leaving a small mucus trail on it, and looked up at the woman once more. The woman looked forward. If she was right, their house would be on the other side of the spinney ahead. She and the kids began to run across the tundra-like clearing. “God don’t let them get us,” The woman murmered to herself. “Please let us get home and light up the house before night falls and they come out.” She looked up at the sun. the half sun had now sunk so low that only a sliver was left. The moon man grinned insanely as he took his postion in the heavens. She looked forward again as they entered the spinney ahead. The ground here was luckily bare, thanks to all the pines above. This gave them the ability to run undaunted. Finally she saw light as they ran past the last few trees in the spinney. As she ran out of the encroaching trees, she looked up as the moon man unleashed a final push and shoved the sun out of their lives forever and absorbed them in his alien light. “No. . .” She moaned. She started to move again when a high-pitched scream made her discontinue her next step. “MOMMY!” The girl screamed, as something imperceptible dragged her back into the woods. The woman grabbed her daughter’s hands. “DON’T LET GO MOMMY! DON’T LET GO!” The girl screamed hysterically. “I won’t baby! I won’t.” The woman said. She flet as if she was in a dream. Nothing bad can happen to them. Right? The feeling of a dream was instantly eradicated as as another scream violently burst into her ears. “MOM!” The boy screamed. The woman turned around just in time to see a small scarlet wall appear and a black blur abducting her son. This distraction gave the other creature its chance, and off it went. Her daughter’s screams slowly dying as the girl herself slipped into unending sleep. “MY BABIES!!” The woman screamed. She looked down at the blood in the snow. She watched as it burned through the snow like acid. It was quickly absorbed. It was if the snow enjoyed death, because that gave it a chance to gain its own color. She grimaced and then began to run.
About fifteen minutes later the woman discovered an empty and unlit house. She burst through the wood door and instantly ran to the fireplace. She grabbed some wood from where it was kept, and put it into the fireplace. She reached into a giant poacket and retrieved from it a box of matches. She opened the box and felt around until she took out a match. Closing the box, she began to strike the match on the box until she discovered that it was soaked. Not just this match, but all the matches and the box. She sat down and cried. After crying for several minutes, she randomly stopped. What was that noise? She thought to herself. She looked around until she saw to bright green eyes glowing at her. Freaking out, she grabbed a broom and nailed the creature right across the head. It land with a soft plomf! She looked at it again and discovered it was only a stuffed toy. Grinning, she backed slowly away from the doll, and bumbed into something. She knew it wasn’t the wall because she was nowhere near that, and it was warm. “Y. . . you’re right behind me. Ar. . . Aren’t you?” A loud serpent-like hiss answered her question. A scream broke the peace once more as the woman’s blood splashed across the wall, and stained the floor and walls and ceiling. Then silence took its rightful place once more.

This is a very interesting prologue. Of course, then the questions of what's going to happen next, who those strange creatures are, and what the heck the story is going to be about comes into my mind.
Ack! The suspense! >_<
