Here's a Youtube link of what looks like an incredibly one-sided battle with a surprising ending.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_jj6ijKvJk

If you don't want to (or can't) watch the Youtube video, here's a summary of it:

Red Player is using Pidgeotto, Nuzleaf, Rattata, and Sableye.
Blue Player is using Torterra, Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza.

This is a double battle match.

Match starts:

---
Red Player sends out Pidgeotto and Nuzleaf
Blue Player sends out Kyogre and Torterra
*** Kyogre's Drizzle makes it rain ***
Nuzleaf uses Endure (his HP won't go below 1)
Pidgeotto uses Tailwind (raises his team's speed)
Kyogre uses Blizzard. It's super effective on both pokemon!
*** Nuzleaf is at 1 HP ***
*** Pidgeotto holds on using Focus Sash, is at 1 HP ***
Torterra uses Leaf Storm on Pidgeotto. It's not very effective.
Pidgeotto faints!
---
Red Player sends out Rattata
Rattata uses Protect (he won't take damage)
Nuzleaf uses Explosion. Critical Hit on Torterra!
Kyogre is in the reds.
Torterra faints!
Rattata's Poison Orb poisoned him!
---
Red Player sends out Sableye
Blue Player sends out Groudon
*** Groudon's Drought makes it really sunny ***
Sableye uses Fake Out on Kyogre. Critical Hit!
Kyogre faints!
Rattata uses facade on Groudon. Critical Hit!
Groudon faints!
Rattata takes damage from poison!
---
Blue Player sends out Rayquaza
Rattata uses Protect
Rayquaza uses Dragon Pulse on Sableye.
Sableye survives at less than half HP.
Sableye uses Will-O-Wisp on Rayquaza.
Rayquaza is burned!
Rayquaza takes damage from the burn!
Rattata takes damage from poison!
---
Rattata uses Sucker Punch on Rayquaza.
Rayquaza loses a chunk of HP.
Rayquaza uses Dragon Pulse on Sableye.
Sableye faints!
Rayquaza takes damage from the burn!
Rattata takes damage from poison!
---
Rattata uses Protect.
Rayquaza uses Dragon Pulse. Rattata protected himself from the attack!
Rayquaza takes damage from the burn!
Rattata takes damage from poison!
---
Rattata uses Sucker Punch on Rayquaza.
Rayquaza faints!
---

Victor: Red Player

I thought that, despite the hax (three critical hits), this was a pretty good example of the power of well-designed pokemon vs. simply powerful pokemon.

That Rattata is surprisingly scary.

O.o That was messed up with Ratata, It has way to much power to easily take down Rayquaza and the other two (sorry don't know the name.)

Now what Lb was Ratata cause that was some good iv training.

I'd assume that all pokemon were level 50 (or perhaps level 100.)

That Rattata was so powerful because he was poisoned, basically. Guts + STAB Facade can be quite painful. 3nodding

So Poison actually has a bit of effect in the battle surprised

Guts + STAB, i assuming this is what the Wii calls for us like Attack and defense

Wha?

It's specifically "Guts + STAB Facade." See, Guts and Facade are a very common combination ; something that activates one will activate the other.

Guts increases attack by 50%
Facade's power increases from 70 to 140

Because Facade is a normal-type attack and Rattata is a normal-type pokemon, he gets STAB for that Facade, which pretty much increases its power to 210. (That's not *exactly* how STAB works, but that's close enough for now.)

Basically, once that Rattata was poisoned, he was unstoppable...

STAB works as follows:
The Pokemon, Rattata, is a normal type
Facade is a normal move - makin a Same Type Attack - and alsop giving it a Bonus (S.T.A.B.) of 1.5x the move's Power

Rattata havign guts increases Physical attk as nadian said, by 50% when i got poisoned, with facade already having STAB and getting a similar boost from the posion

Facade on a normal type is : 105
((70 divided by 2 = 35 and add that to make the 1.5x = 105))
then the move gets a power boost from it's special effect = 175 stabed and special effected, then the fact the power of the rattata is doubled make the super-suped Facade almost unbeatable

however, i doubt, seriously doubt that is, it could do all that to a burned, or even toxiced Rayquaza unless it had a little luck behind it, and seriously doubt to see something like it happen again

as for the Critical comment form nadian "(hax)" i dont get it, why would achritical happening three times be considered a Hax?

usign my CLaw team i've hit five cirticals in a row agaisnt the CHapmion of the elite four, mowing down all but her Milotic with jsut my Crush/Shadow claw Blaziken and he was atlevel 70

so cirtical htis, as i'd say, cant be a hax applicable factor

"Hax" is used to acknowledge a "rare" event happening, nothing more. It does not referring to people cheating. It's just a weird slang that developed.

weird indeed, they'd hate my charge-beam Jirachi when CB hits, it alwyas pumps up SPattk for Jirachi (serene grace ability -gotta love it)
and the for non-legend they'd hate the blaziken you gave me,
Focus Energy - powers up critical rate
item: razor claw - powers up critical rate
moves: Shadow claw blaze kick - high critical
---thats about 50% at least
then it also still know crush claw and hits pretty critical with it

but "Hax" makes it sound like i'm cheating, so i'd say "Efx"
