I have yet to see ova 3 as well.

She means the same thing that actually made your first post in this thread confusing. See, the real three Tenchi series are...


Tenchi Muyo (a series of 4 OVAs totaling over 13 episodes, the original Tenchi)
Tenchi In Tokyo
Tenchi Universe


OVA is short for "Original Video Animation" ; it basically means it was straight-to-disc, although in the case of anime this has a high tendency to be higher quality than TV series, but commonly also briefer.

The OVA is what really started the series, and Tokyo and Universe are about Tenchi and are based upon that concept, hence why those are the three Tenchi series. GXP happens in the same universe as Tenchi (we even see a cameo appearance of Tenchi & gang) but isn't really about Tenchi ; it's a branch story about someone else.

But, yeah, I've enjoyed the shows. Of the Tenchi series, Tenchi In Tokyo is my favorite. Of all the Tenchi-related series, Magical Project S is my favorite followed by Tenchi In Tokyo.
