My great-grandmother from my mother's side is from Germany, my grandparents on my father's side are from Trinidad. Thus. I was born. My grandmother from my dad's side proceeded to inform me that her great-great-great grandmother was on a slave boat. I have no idea if it's the truth but she just came right out and told me. :p

My moms side is from the Taino (the native tribe of Puerto Rico).
So, I'm half Taino indian and half Spanish.
