I'm learning American Sign Language. I used to be a slouch, but now I can carry on something of a conversation with my teacher, who is deaf. It's really neat, talking with your hands.

But I'm getting pissed at my school. I just heard that for new students wishing to take ASL, it no longer counts as a language in the course book. It's an elective. That makes me so. ********. Pissed.

That blows. At least you had it offered at your school to begin with. I didn't get to take any good classes until college, where I earned a degree in it. (I took a class in 7th grade, and it counted as an elective, but from what I remember, is was more SEE than ASL)

I took ASL from the CHS (Canadian Hearing Society). It's a really neat course! I've always been fascinated with languages. I have my Level 103. If you do it that way then there are 3 levels each with 5 different stages to them. It's pretty cool! Wish I had the money to keep going but having twins kinda puts a damper on that! LMAO
