...Or legs or thighs, but that was one satisfying walk! emotion_yatta
I was feeling restless, and it's the warmest it's been in weeks today (33°), so I decided to get some exercise and scope out potential rental properties downtown for May. Ended up walking about 3 miles and saw a few places I'm trying to find on Google now. It's fun, because the city only plows about half of the sidewalks, so at times I was flailing through thigh-high mounds of snow like an uncoordinated baby deer. xd

Damn that's cold. I'm glad I live here in CA where it never gets that cold. Well at least in Northern Orange County.

...when I'm with you, but I love it!
Sorry. Couldn't help myself. And what kind of crazy person runs in snow? What, you trying to be the next Rocky now?

Kor Saiyajinkami Damn that's cold. I'm glad I live here in CA where it never gets that cold. Well at least in Northern Orange County. Wow, and 33 is a heat wave right now here! It's been in the teens, with wind on top of that. This winter is mild, too. Last year, there were a couple of days we were teetering on the edge of -40 without windchill. The postal service physically couldn't deliver mail that day because the diesel in their trucks froze solid.

I had that song in mind while naming this thread. xD Nah, not like Rocky. I just needed to get out. I love how beautiful the snow is, but the thing I hate about winter is the fact that it's usually too cold for me to go out exploring, so I feel like a rat trapped in a cage and it drives me nuts. So when I get warm days like today, I take full advantage of them.

Oh, and several hours after I posted this thread, I went snow tubing for the first time in my life. It was awesome and terrifying at the same time. lol
But now I WISH I couldn't feel my lower half, haha. My tailbone got smacked into repeatedly by an icy hill while flying down crazy fast, and I slipped and fell on my hip while waiting in line for the lift. It's mostly the hip that hurts; I'm watching a bruise larger than my hand slowly come into focus. gonk

I'm glad I don't live in your area because I might freeze to death sleeping outside in such temperatures.

Yeah, that's probably why I don't see too many people sleeping outside up here in the upper peninsula. Down in Detroit, the manhole covers excrete steam all year 'round because they're connected to the city's trash incinerator heating system, and in the winter I see a lot of homeless individuals flocking to that steam to stay warm. It's really sad to see that many people in such a situation. confused

Unfortunately for the people, the corrupt politicians in the gov't are more concerned about their presents from major corporations *cough*-bribe money-*cough* that make the weapons for the war engine. With as much corruption as there is in the gov't on all levels, it's no wonder the United States doesn't even make the top 10 for the most economically free countries in the world (we currently rank as the 12th). Hell I live on the border of two cities and the job of the homeless liaison officer of Huntington Beach PD is to try to get the homeless to get the ******** out of their city. Now that's just pathetic, don't you agree?
