What I miss?

Been away for three years. I miss anything, or has everyone also been sleeping?

Edit: Is it me, or is Gaia in general a lot sleepier now?

You didn't really miss much aside from Gaia becoming a bit more focused on the monetary aspect of things rather than community. Some people have left Gaia for that aspect. Where as others have become so busy with life and work in general (like myself) that it's been harder for us to find time to log on and post.

Now that you mention it, I've seen that we've been getting about 5 announcements a day for new deals and stuff. I'm so sick of seeing Jet & Cygnus all the time, so I just stopped checking the announcements altogether.

That's not the worst of it. You barely missed that. What happened was Lanzer sold Gaia to this super greedy pair of businessmen who buy companies and make as much money as they can from them to the point where they run them into the ground. They then sell the companies for super cheaper and move on to the next company. Fortunately Lanzer just recently bought back Gaia after they decided it was time to sell it. Before now they were doing anywhere between 10 and 20 or maybe even more announcements about Gaia Cash per day. The 5 per day is Lanzer toning it back a bit. I imagine eventually he might even tone it back more. Hopefully he'll get around to toning it down to 1 per day. Until then I don't think I'll start reading announcements again. I stopped reading them back during the super greedy pair's Gaia Interactive Administration and still haven't started reading them again.
