	I live in Apple Valley,California(So Cal)and I say no because if someone needs to travel to Nor Cal,they would have to go to a DIFFERENT STATE!

	I don't know about splitting the state based on politics, but culturally, DEFINITELY. Moving from southern California to northern was basically like moving to another state or country, even.
