Our Treasure
The moonlight came down on you
making you shine like the star you are.
Your silhouette boasting your elegance;
your beauty seen from afar.

That moment of magic disappeared
when you left me.
When you left our children,
when you chose to flee.

To escape from your pressures
and demands of living,
you took your life,
making ours misgiving.

It has been three years now
since your passing.
We have stopped crying;
our feelings amassing.

But your spirit remains
In this household,
As a driving reminder
Of whom we still hold

As our treasure.
