{HELP!} Pluggin' in teh iPod....

Okay.... so you know how you plug the end of the USB cable into the port on your compy to make the iPod pop up magical on the screen? Well, I just did.... and it's not acknowledging the presence of my Nano. I've successfully gotten it to connect many times; I'm not sure if anything's wrong with my compy or something....
However, in the past when I've hooked it up I always get the message "Your start-up disk is almost full." Possibly it is now completely full and therefore can't recognise my iPod? I'm using a Mac 10.4.7.... I don't know if there's any way to manually tell the computer to notice that it's got something hooked up, tho. WAH! T--T (I have some songs I wanna put on....!!!)
So, if anyone's ever had anything like this happen or know what might be going on from what I've described, it would be very helpful. Thank you! =D

that's wierd.
i don't use macs so i don't know if i'll be of any help...
do macs have a "run" or "search" thing on the start menu(or similar?)
or you can go to my comp and see if it's on the removable discs list.

i'm sorry if i'm no help. >.<

try opening up itunes then plug in teh ipod
or u could try opening up finder and look at teh side bar to see if it pops up

Maybe you should try using another computer and if it works go restore it and
use on your computer. Sorry if this doesn't help
