OMG! David Eddings is my all time favorite. I found a copy of the Belgariad series in a box of books when my grandmother moved and read the series over and over for an entire summer. I think I've read the entire series from start to finish at least five times. My next mission was to collect the Mallorean and I now have both in paper back as well as "Belgarath the Sorcerer," "Polgara the Sorceress" and the "Rivan Codex". I also have a second set of the Belgariad in hardback omnibuses (all five books condensed to two hard backs). I've read through the Elenium but was not as into it as the Belgariad. Eventually, I'm going to buy both the Elenium and the Tamuli and try to read them. I also have the first three books of his newest series about the "Elder Gods". In fact, David Eddings fueled me to take my writing seriously and pursue a career as a novelist. I love how you can get sucked into his world and completely become a part of the story. I've even slightly modeled one of my characters after C'Nedra. I also think the guy who wrote Eragon ripped off of Eddings and Tolkien a bit, but that's just my opinion.

I really like the Belgariad and Mallorean series. I spent 3 weeks getting the Belgariad to read and then it was read to death, as well as Polgara the Sorceress. I've read the elder god series to the end. Favorite character ever is propably ... Errand. So errand.

I liked Errand a lot, too. My favorite part was when Silk got seduced in the Mallorean.
