are they actually going to let zac efron play as light in the death note movie???

I don't think they've made any casting decisions yet. It's mostly fans and people who saw a similarity in a Zac Efron photo that have mentioned about him being Light.
There's no f@%$!&# way that the Efron could do anything other than those EPIC FAIL HSM Disney-s**t movies that have turned millions of little girl's brains into a pile of bubbling mush.
He would *never* be able to play Light, not in a *insert random really really big number here* years. He would get everything wrong, and, all in all, he would totally suck. He would take everything that makes Light creepy/scary/etc. and turn it into just another epic fail.
Selling hotdogs out of a street cart in Manhattan would be more his speed. He should have never been an actor. Period.
Personally, I'm pretty excited for the movie. Those people who made The Ring/The Grudge/etc. are making it, so the special effects will be epic. EPIC I SAY!!
