Love Problem

Okay, so there's this guy I like at school. I've known him since kindergarten and I started liking him the beginning of this year (This school year I'm meaning, not 2010).

Last year, we (father and I) gave him rides home and we'd hang out at the library until my dad would pick us up. He obviously liked me then, but I was more interested getting my homework done then. sweatdrop

So, the problem is that he likes my best friend this year. My best friend has been dating a guy since July and he's known it the whole time and still walks around with her and demands a hug from her after school. He's not as bad about it now, but he still clearly likes her. My friend though clearly has no interest in him. She even ignores his text messages and won't laugh at the stuff he says as often as she used to.

What confuses me is that he still talks to me like he used to at the library and he looks at me during class (well, the ones that I'm in with him). Does he still somewhat like me or am I 'off the list' now?

I've tried forgetting about him and just saying whatever, but I just can't stop myself.

Any advice towards what I should do? confused

Try talking with him about it. Maybe he'll give you some answers that you seek.

Hm, my guess is that he thinks that he still has a chance. But, I guess I could ask him, but I should probably do it when she's back to make sure that he's still doing it. 3nodding

well u can't jus jump to conclusion on this kinda stuff. But if u really am curious, i suggest u ask him how he really feels. U shouldn't stress urself out to much at this though.

I'm much to shy to ask. redface No guy has ever straightfowardly told me that I was pretty besides my father and brother-in-law so my confidence isn't too high either. sweatdrop

But, you are right about that I shouldn't stress over it. I'm just not sure what to do to get my mind off of it.

If you are too afraid to ask in person, write him a letter explaining what you are asking. But, don't go on without knowing, because you'll look back at it later in life regretting. Build up the courage in a letter or in person. Even an e-mail just makes sure that he knows you are asking.

When I was younger...man I feel old...I had a boyfriend that I wanted to keep and because of a certain thing that happened with my parents we broke up. I didn't fight for him to stay and now he's married with a son.

But make sure you have the courage and if he turns you down, then at least you know. Just make sure he doesn't be an a$$ about it.
