A s . I t . A l w a y s . B e g i n s .
It started with the Isle of Arcana. Like many stories, this own island was ruled by two kingdoms of the north and south, both of which have been warring for two hundred years. Now that resources have been strained and the soldiers are tired of fighting, both sides are thinking of stopping the fighting with union: that’s right, marriage. The Northern kingdom of Demetria will offer their second son, the Demetrian prince, and the Southern kingdom of Eureka will offer their only princess, the Eurekan daughter of the late princess. Her arrival to the Demtrian capital will be today, the first she’ll meet of her new husband. But things are always so complicated than they seem as always. With the union of these two very differing and conflicting kingdoms, something might happen that someone’s bound to regret.

H a s . I t . A l w a y s . B e e n . T h i s . C o m p l i c a t e d ?
Quite the stubborn one, eh? The Eurekan Princess: T a k e n : Creamsicle Bunnies S h e is the Eurekan princess of the Southern kingdom, raised in the warm southern coasts and culture. With rich treasures, Eureka takes great pride in their coasts and fishing, mainly staying near the beaches. Despite the lavish quality of this country, they are currently the one’s ‘losing’ the war. S h e is the b*****d* princess of Eureka, her mother was the princess to the Grand Majesty the King however she ended up running away after falling in love with a traveler. Her mother never officially married the man so their relationship was taboo. Eventually the man died when her mother was pregnant and returned to the castle with a baby in her arms. When s h e was very young, her mother soon withered away and died as well from sickness, leaving the only royal blood in the generation to h e r. S h e is not the heir for s h e is not suitable, since s h e is a taboo child and was even locked away in a tower for the remaining years of her life until s h e was to be married off. The Grand Majesty the king, her grandfather, thought it to be a steal to marry h e r off to the Demetrian prince, a win win situation: to get rid of his forsaken granddaughter who he doesn’t approve of and to create an everlasting treaty between the two kingdoms. S h e personally has never seen her country before, only seeing it from the outside of her window and what s h e had read in her books. S h e disapproves of their marriage and dislikes the prospect of it but what say does s h e have?
Quite the frank one, eh? The Demeterian Prince: O p e n : H e is the Demetrian prince, raised in a strict yet formal lifestyle. H e got anything h e wanted when h e called for it. Even so, h e is only but second in line to the throne and may never see the crown ever in his life. His older brother is the heir, leaving h i m with nothing but a name. Therefore, h e seeks quality and purpose in life. As for the country h e lives in, Demetria is also vast in wealth yet very much different than the southern country. It is a rocky area with cliffs and forests, their country rich with ores and timber. They have been ‘winning’ the war thus far, only because of the Demetria’s talents with ores and metals; their armor and weapons were much more advanced to that of the Southerners. What is his opinion on this marriage? Or does h e believe it’s all but a game?
* Bastards meaning that their parents weren't married when they had them. It also means that they have half commoner blood and half royal blood.

H i s t o r y . . . | I barely knew my father let alone my mother. My father died soon after I was born. After he died, my mother left the small village she ran away to and returned to the castle where I was ‘raised’. Mother always tried to protect me, that I remember. Yet, her face evades me since she died after a couple years later. When she died, I was locked up in a tower on the side of the castle. My grandfather hates me; I’m the child of his daughter, whom he cherished deeply, yet betrayed him by marrying a poor traveler. He hates my blood and even disallowed me from the throne because of it. Not that I care, I wouldn’t want to rule a country with his filthy paw marks on it. Besides the point, being locked away in a tower was the only life I really remember; everything I know is from books, what I could see outside my narrow window, and the few rather rude people who’d visit me sometimes. I’m kind of envious of my husband; at least he had a family. Yet, I’d never let him know that. I haven’t met him yet but I can already tell he’ll be all wrong for me. |
W h o . A m . I . Y o u . A s k ? | Over the years, I guess I’ve developed a bad attitude or rather one that is stubborn. Being locked up did me no good for my social behavior and I don’t take authority well either. I’m not bossy or selfish but I guess you could say I’m generous and kindly when I want to be; they are just harder emotions to express is all. |

H i s t o r y . . . | I'm one spoiled child but when it comes down to it I'm still second best in my family. My older brother gets the crown and I get pretty much nothing. Instead of focusing too much on the crown, I have spent most of my years training the Knights and going into battle. I like the out doors far more then being in castle walls now and from time to time I go out into the villages to fool around with ladies but I'm a ladies man after all. I'm one to give orders not take them and I certainly don't take orders from women but I do respect them and when it comes down to it, I'm their hero. Even though I'm to be wed to some chick I don't know, I'm pretty sure I can run her away since I don't need a woman tying me down. Though I fear that I would actually develop feelings for her. Sometimes I tend to fall in love to easily which is why I'm quick to break the hearts of women before they can do so to me. Though I don't feel too bad, most of them only like me for my looks, muscles and wealth. |
W h o . A m . I . Y o u . A s k ? | I can be temperamental and a complete a** toward those who get on my nerves, even women but if they piss me off. I'm loud and the clown with all the guys I hang out with but hey, I'm a fun guy, not boring at all. When I'm alone with someone I tend to be more quiet and I listen more then I talk. I can be a romantic type of guy with any girl I become very interested in, but I quickly snap myself out of that and run them away before it gets too serious. People like to label me as the hero, but the party boy as well. |

I n e v e r loved anyone fully Always one f o o t on the ground ค ʂ r ɨ є ℓ " O randomly met one, what chance fortune may reunite us once more? " "Asriel! Please don't climb that tree! Persimmon tree branches are extremely frail." The woman's voice rang through her ears yet the young girl continued to climb, higher and higher until she found a hefty branch and shimmied across it. A fuzzy, peach colored fruit hung plump for picking, nestled by wide leaves and pale branches. The younger Asriel, framed with short pink locks and wide pale blue eyes, reached her small fingers to their extent to pluck the fruit for her awaiting mother below. She happened to look down to see her mother's worrieed face who called to her again before Asriel grinned and leaned farther to grasp the fruit. With a snap, the fruit was in the palms of her hands. She yipped with joy at her success and looked down to accept her praise yet only saw the emptyness of where her mother formerly was. "Mommy?" She called yet no reply. Asriel glanced down again and now the tree sat upon a lake it seemed, still dark water awaiting her below. Asriel was frightened, the black water below her reeked of darkness and hatred. Asriel gasped in fear as figures began to slowly crawl up the tree. Forgetting the fruit that was no longer in her hand, having dissapeared along with her mother, Asriel tried to climb upwards, away from the shadows that tried so desperately to get at her. Her mother's word's echoed through her mind, warning her of the delicate branches. Asriel cried as she tried to climb quickly until she reached for another branch. The branch below her snapped and Asriel fell, splashing into the black, still water of death.
"Madam!"
Asriel snapped out of her day dream, having lost herself when passing by a window that displayed the mystic landscapes of Demetria. Asriel's face was grim. She did not remember her mother's face nor her voice; her daydream was casted off her own imagination of who her mother might've been, based off paintings of her in the many halls of the Eurekan palace she visited so rarely. Her mother's still face plagued her mind, dark eyes watching as the painter painted her. She did not have her mother's eyes, which were dark like her father's yet warm unlike any other, but of her father's, that of adventure and tale. With these same blue eyes, she was judged by her grandfather. Because of these eyes that weren't of royal genes but of a commoner was disgraceful and reminded her grandfather of his shame. It was these eyes that made her grandfather hate her so. Asriel, since, has always hated such a color, blue, the color that reflected her own sorrow and desperation, of loneliness and sadness. With a glare to her escort who grew impatient with the foreign princess, currently taking her to a parlor room where she was to wait for the Demetrian prince, she followed quietly with an absent outlook. For today was not a happy one but one Asriel was not looking forward to. She did not want to meet her new husband. Yet, what power did she have to say no? Today marked the day of the two country's union and of Asriel and the Demetrian prince's marriage. There would be no ceremony, both sides agreeing that they did not want to deal with the publicity, and that the two would be wedded through not vows but a signed treaty. Asriel was led to an ornate room that held large arked windows and dark furniture. Asriel went to the window to look upon the foreign land before her. It gave her unease for the man that was to meet her minutes away was supposed to be, an annoying prospect as it was, the man whom she'd spend the rest of her life until he or Asriel herself died. His hunting trip was cut short due to the fact that his wife has arrived at the castle. There were plenty of things he had planned today even though he knew quiet well that she would be arriving in Demetrian. Everyone that knew him some what well, knew that he was not up for this marriage at all. Was there even a point in him going? All that was needed was the treaty to be signed and everything was done with. His mother had pleaded with him to go and meet his soon to be wife and treat her well. Not being a complete jerk, he promised her that he would go and see her but he never specified what time he would be doing so.
The woods were silent today for some odd reason and many of his companions headed further into the forest since he had to make his way back. After sulking on a rock, he finally got up and went over to his horse which he had left by the edge of the forest. The black stallion stood there grazing at the fresh patch of green grass. Just looking at the great majestic animal made him feel a bit more secure. He had no choice in the matter of today and as he got on his horse, he thought of what he would have to do. Slowly he made his way back to the palace, his thought racing everywhere. The closer he got to the palace, the more he thought of what his new wife would be. The only thing he wished for, was that he did not want a woman who would argue with him...basically, a stubborn one. However, Alister felt that he would get a woman exactly like that. When it came down to it, he was never one to have good luck.
Finally he reached the large palace and he gave his horse to a stable boy. He had zoned out and walked past people, not greeting them back. Step by step he reached the parlor room, the room where she sat waiting. A room that would symbolize this unfair world.
Entering the room, some servants bowed and greeted him. He zoned back into reality as he reached Asriel. Alister stood in front of her and bowed, "Welcome to our Kingdom madam."

" With thoughts racing from her newly betrothed to her mother, Asriel lost herself in yet another dream-like state. It was only then a deep voice snapped the silence of the room that she jumped a little, a bit suprised. She turned slowly, awaiting to see the face of the mysterious voice and found a dark haired man in its place. She said nothing at first, assuming this was the proclaimed Demetrian prince, but watched him before scanning from head to toe and then vice versa. He held this aura about him and without even their first conversation, Asriel safely decided that she did not like him. So much so that she decided that he was not worthy of her voice and refused to speak to him. She gave a small 'hmph' and turned away in dissaproval.
