Conspiracy! A young prince inherits the throne after his father the king perishes. His mother died after giving birth. The nobles see the boy is young. Barely even a full adult, the more ambitious nobles start scheming. Each noble has a small army platoon under their command. The prince has a few body guards, elite troops but small in numbers. A few nobles are loyal to the prince but they don't hold much power. The people love the prince but the mass population is fickle. One noble rallys some of the other schemers together and they begin to plan the assassination of the young prince. The head noble also sends some of the troops to attack a neighboring kingdom that were once allies and sends a messenger to an enemy kingdom to form a secret alliance. The prince's closest friend and head of the body guards cathes wind of the plan to assassinate the prince. He plans to gather the other body guards and escape. The nobles have also started rallying the people against the prince, however some remain loyal to him. Even in the neighboring kingdom under siege there are those who may believe the princes story. How will all this unfold. What role will you play?

Prince& Bodyguards: Gaia Name:Sivlerwolf14 Name: Maverick Belmug Bio&Personality: Maverick is a young man, and prince of the people of peaceful empire. His father was beloved by all the nobles at least until towards the end of his reign. One of the younger nobles came into power after his father died and he tolerated the old man but once he passed some of the other elder nobles stepped down or passed on for the younger nobles. This one man met with them in secrecy in an effort to give them more power and make himself emporer and conquer the entire continent. Maverick had no idea about politics but learned them as best he could. He much prefered sword play and traveling with his personal guards. He is a kind and patient young man, a little headstrong sometimes and a firm believer in justice and protecting the weak. Loyalty: I am the Prince Weapons: ScimitarAppearance: Gaia Name: vampiricqueen95 Name: Amel (Amelia to friends.) Bio&Personality: Amelia grew up in the castle, overshadowed by her brothers and their ranks as knights and guards. When one brother, her twin Amel, fell in battle, Amelia secretly took his place as head of the body guards. Only the prince himself really knows of this switch, and since the fall of her brother they have become good friends. Amel is quiet, but cool and calculated. She does things with a secret intent. She normally wears some sort of mask over her eyes, just as Amel once did. Loyalty: Prince. Weapons: She is exceptionally skilled with the bow and arrow, but she can get by with using two short swords if and when needed. Appearance: Gaia Name: Spectrum122 Name: Aiden Bio&Personality: Aiden wasn't royalty but his family was close to the royal family all his life. He grew up with the prince even though he was older they were the best of friends. As Aiden got older he decided to join the nobles and guarded the prince like he would a brother. Being reserved and shy in nature not many people know how Aiden is as a person. He is very loveable and caring which balances out his more primal side. Loyalty: Prince Weapons: A lance, hidden dagger, and studded gloves Appearance: [/ Gaia Name: Guardian Sol Name: Locke Cecil Tribal Bio&Personality: Locke is a young man that came from the streets. His family, who had to beg after his father has ruined his hands from a smithing incident. One day when he was fifteen, he came back "home" to find his family dead by some kind of plague. After a few days of grief, he went to work as a squire to one of the knights and after that he quickly went up the ranks. By the time the king has died, he was one of the body guards that protected the prince. Locke is usually level headed and optimistic. He fights with honor and will not attack an unarmed opponent. He likes to crack jokes as well. Loyalty: Prince Weapons: Locke wields a long sword and shield. Appearance: Standing at five foot ten inches, Locke has a medium, muscular build with long wavy red hair and blue eyes. He usually wears banded mail underneath a tabard representing his Kingdom. Gaia Name: uilenyk Name: Kray Metharin Bio&Personality: Kray was the second son of a low noble family. His father a good friend of the former king so Kray was able to meet the prince on several occasions. Since a young age, the people around Kray could tell he was different. He excelled at the uses of arms. He never stood out academically because he tended to keep to himself but his teachers could see he had a brilliant mind. Still those who ever talked to him always came away with the same impression. He smiled and was polite but he always seemed up happy. His eyes seemed to have an unnatural dullness. His eyes seemed to be void of light. Even at home, he tended to keep to himself and lock himself in his own chambers or out alone in the woods near his family's estate. His parents decided that it was best to put him somewhere that would allow him to or force him to interact with others. They had decided to enlist him into the military under the king instead of their own troops when the king suggested to he be put in the prince's personal guard. Kray was an excellent fighter there was no doubt and he was about the same age as the prince. This could be a great opportunity. Since then Kray has served in the guard. He followed every order without complaint or question and was the perfect gentleman when it was expected of him but he still carried his unnatural air that made people uncomfortable around him. He still kept to himself when possible and never talked unless spoken to. He seemed unphased by the knowledge of traitors among the nobles and carried on the way he always had. Loyalty: Undeclared Weapons: He can use most weapons pretty well but he's prefers and is best with a pike or twin daggers. Appearance: [/

Nobles and Others. Gaia Name: uilenyk Name: Zane Binsteel Bio&Personality: Zane was born into a noble family as the oldest and only son. Those who knew him described him as a kind and humble person who took much after his father. Indeed he learned everything from his father from sword play to politics to proper behavior. His father was a strong advocate of the royal family and Zane watch him spend his entire life devoted to doing everything to help the royal family. He was completely disgusted by it though he kept his thoughts to himself. What was it all for? What did they get in return? A word of thanks? Was the word of a king really worth his life? Once his father passed away, he took over and began his own plans. He still kept up the image his father had worked so hard for but for a different motive. Slowly, he began clawing his way up gaining more and more power and influence. Everything he got, he earned. He never forced anything for he knew with time, what he wanted would come to him but life is always unpredictable. Though he had a good relationship with the former king and his wife, he never really payed attention to the children. The king's untimely death took him off guard. He had tried his best to keep the king alive but to no avail. He had no time left to form a good relationship with the prince so he only had one option left, he had to move now. It would be best to snip the young king before he settled in too well. Besides, in the confusion of the war the blame could be easily pushed upon their enemies and if he then went on to "save" the leaderless nation for certain destruction, everything would fall into his hands. Loyalty: Nobles Weapons: Zane can use the bow but is best with twins swords. Appearance: [/ Gaia Name: Miss Emni Rose Name: Gabriella Montague Bio&Personality: Gabriella, or Gabby to her close friends and family, is not your average child of a Duke. For one, she's not a spoiled, air-headed brat who's main focus is what she's going to wear to the next ball. Yes, she's used to getting her way, but that's only because no one can best her when it comes to being stubborn. She can outlast any who try to deny her something that she wants enough to bother asking for. She's an only child, ever since her elder brother died of the plague, and tries to behave as proper and lady-like as possible to ease the heavy burden atop of her parent's shoulders. She is educated in reading, writing, politics, music, dancing, ettiquiete, math, and geography. Her favorite subject is music, which she excels at. Loyalty: Undeclared Weapons: Any number of concoctions she prepares herself from a garden she keeps at her summer estate. Essentially, poisons. Appearance: "] Gaia Name: SilentShadowDreamer Name: Kirsen Coraith Bio&Personality: Kirsen is the youngest son of a poor barony, out near the edge of an ocean. He doesn’t expect to inherit, since he has four brothers ahead of him, and there’s little enough else to do out here in this barren stretch of coast. Instead of sticking around, he took off for parts unknown, and he’s currently wandering freely, learning what he can about the state of the world as it is now. Kirsen is a sharp-tongued and temperamental boy, but he’s capable of great kindness once he gets to know someone. He met up with Tessa on his travels, and by now he considers himself her protector and big brother. Mess with Tessa, and you’re on his bad side for the rest of forever. Otherwise, he’s pretty easygoing. Loyalty: Undeclared Weapons: Kirsen carries a broadsword, which is his main weapon. He also had a crossbow, but he’s given Tessa that in case for whatever reason, they’re ever separated. Gaia Name: SilentShadowDreamer Name: Tessa Jirelin Bio&Personality: Tessa is clairvoyant. She can see the future to some extent, though she can’t interpret it and after a particularly frightening reading, she often reminds people that it isn’t static. She doesn’t know very much about her past, but that doesn’t seem to bother her. If asked, she says that it was a fair trade: she gave up the past in exchange for the future. Kirsen thinks she was once a noble child, because she speaks as though she’d been very well-educated. She wanders with the wind; Kirsen is her only companion, and the two of them are very close. Tessa avoids reading his future in the same way she avoids reading her own. She’s a quiet girl and very sweet, but she’s a little unsettling to most people. Loyalty: Undeclared Weapons: Tessa carries the crossbow Kirsen gave her, but she’s not very good at using it.[/ Gaia Name: Animeprincess_9400 Name: Rhiannon Desmonte Bio&Personality: Rhiannon behaves timidly and politely, keeping the image of the perfect domestic woman as best as she can. In truth, however, she is manipulative and cold-hearted. After witnessing her mother being burned at stake for being a "witch", which she was not, Rhiannon slowly lost all hope and affection towards her fellow man. For a long while, she lost all respect for herself, doing unimaginable things just to keep on living. Upon coming of age, she was taken in as a mistress by a former childhood friend, one of the noblemen that watched her mother burn. In return for protection from her mother's fate, she was told that she must use her every skill at her disposal in order to spy on the Prince and infiltrate his group. If Rhiannon could also arrange for the capture or death of the Prince and his allies, her 'lover'/ex-childhood friend promised to kill his current wife and take Rhiannon as her replacement... Loyalty: Nobles Weapons: Rhiannon preffers to "kill with kindness". This translates to numerous varieties of poisons and venoms, leaving her unsuspecting victems to die slow and horrible deaths. Appearance: [/ Gaia Name: XMiichiChan Name: Victoria de Caux Bio&Personality: Victoria has a tendency to keep quiet, and thus nobody bothers with getting to know her. Even in her childhood, she was a quiet person who kept to herself. She has a taste for elegant things such as clothing, and carries an air of superiority even though it is far from what she truly feels. Victoria has a spot in her heart for the arts. She enjoys artwork and often tries her hand at creating something of her own. She plays the violin and flute when she's not occupied by pieces of artwork. Her cooking skills are decent. Very rarely, she will dance in the moonlight. Never does she display these skills openly. However, with a caring friend, this may change. Loyalty: Undeclared Weapons: She has no skills in combat Appearance: [/ Gaia Name: Nagi the Raccoon Name: Ara Bio&Personality: A foreigner of some reknown in the area. He typically does 'odd jobs' and 'information gathering' as long as the payoff matches the risk. While known to be good at his work, he's also know for doublecrossing and outright just quitting on whoever employs him sometimes. He frequents many places in the area, sometimes causing trouble. He's never been seen fighting, but people still have rarely been known to challenge him. Slick-tongued, manipulative and potentially dangerous, one of his few known good traits is that once he likes someone, he becomes very loyal (outside of work). He likes to play both sides in the current political crisis. Also, he smiles alot. Loyalty: None Weapons: An assortment of small blades and daggers, all hidden under his rather loose fitting clothing. He also carries a walking stick that he uses at times Appearance: [/ Gaia Name: MommiiDearest Name: Lovec Hunter Vrah Bio&Personality: Lovec is the oldest child in her family, but she was the third to be born. You see, this little princess knew from the time she was young that she wanted to be ruler of her kingdom and as she grew older she 'took care' of her two older brothers. But every time she did she succeeded in making it look like an accident or someone else's fault. Sneaky little minx that she is, Lovec comes off loving and kind, but behind closed doors she is conceded, dark, and evil. Lovec has gone as far as to befriend Prince Maverick, even offering him help and aiding him. She is bidding her time. Loyalty: Lovec is loyal only to herself. Weapons: Skilled with a greatsword, excels in the use of throwing knives, and for special occasions, wears a locket with a vile of poison in it potent enough to bring down an elephant. Appearance: [/ Gaia Name: Dark Creature Bella Name: Lieri Riegen Bio&Personality: Lieri and her siblings were orphaned when she was 15. Because Lieri wasn't 18 she had no choice but to but to move with her siblings to her her uncles home. Her uncle was an alcoholic who didn't care about the children since Lieri was the oldest she cared for all five of her siblings. On Lieri's sixteenth birthday her youngest brother Darine came up with a strange illness that infected the whole house. Lieri's uncle was away on business and refused to come home. Lieri's strong immune system kept her alive but her sibling's weren't as fortunate and died. Lieri realized she had basically no one left and distanced her self from people afraid of getting too attached. Loyalty: Undeclared Weapons: Her sword and an assortment of small blades Appearance: [/

War, it was on the brink of erupting into a huge full-scale battle. The Baltean Empire, one noble ffrom this empire had sent his private army to attack the neighbor and ally nation, The Minox Rebulic. The Republic wasn't ready for a suprise attack and as such the small town nearby crumbled with relative ease. The army pulled back before reinforcements could arrive. The king sent a message to the prince to ask what happened. Prince Maverick swore he had no idea what happened. Border Skirmeshes started happening constantly and they were growing. The one behind it all planned to assassinate the prince and plame it on Minox, then with his secret allies inside the Jurean Kingdom they would wage war across the continent and form a new Empire between these two countries. This is where our story begins. The biggest skirmish to date has just finished occuring.
Prince Maverick was in his chambers pacing back and forth. He was getting reports about the skirmishes but he didn't know what to do about them. The nobles..which ones could he trust, which ones can't he. What was going on, how did things get this crazy. These questions swarmed this young man's mind. The only ones he knew he could trust were his personal guards, though they only occasionally were able to be seen near him, like at formal meetings where they were blended in with the other guards, they were always nearby in the shadows ready to jump if the moment needed or he beckoned them to him. He was anxious now, he could feel something was stiring inside his kingdom but he wasn't sure what but he had a feeling it was nothing good.

Gabriella stepped out onto the balconey of her rooms, bringing with her a beautiful old cello well worn from many years of playing. ""A beautiful day it is." she murmured quietly to herself, although there was no one else near. She sat on one of the chairs set out there, and began playing. It wasn't a true song, just little melodies that had danced around in her head today, which she strung together so as not to sound disconnected. As usual, Gabriella thought as she played, and the topic today was the wel-known plot to assassinate the Prince. Well, perhaps it was not extremely well known, but if one truelly thought about it, it wasn't that surprising. The Prince was young, inexperienced, and had few true allies. Now would be the perfect time for power-hungry nobles to attempt to take the throne, although she knew that it would fail. Gabriella had seen the Prince at multiple balls, and although they had never spoken, she could tell that he would be a hard person to break, let along bend to one's will.

"Tessa!"
A giggle, somewhere far ahead of him out in the woods. Kirsen grumbled something to himself as he scanned the trees. "It's too early to play games, Tessa. Come on." He'd broken down camp alone - not unusual, as Tessa would usually wake before the sun and wander off by herself, no matter how many times he told her that it wasn't safe. They'd nearly stumbled into war zones far too many times for him to feel comfortable - only Tessa's visions had kept them going this far inland.
Something coming. Something she had to be there for. And where Tessa went, Kirsen went.
"What do you fear?" asked a sweet musical voice from above his head.
Kirsen glanced up, only to get a face full of leaves. Sputtering, he scowled into the trees. "Tessa! Get down from there. Come on, we have to go."
"What do you fear?" she repeated, her legs swinging as she smiled down at him from up in the tree.
He sighed, frustrated. Not this again. Tessa liked her questions.
"That's not even a riddle, Tessa," he told her. She just smiled, and he raked a hand through his hair. They weren't going anywhere until she got an answer. "Haven't you asked this one already? I'm not going to fail, so it doesn't matter. Now come on."
His evasive answer made her giggle as she bounded down from the tree and resettled the crossbow over her thin shoulder. "All right, Kirsen." She beamed at him. "You are very patient with me."
He slung an arm over her shoulders. "Ah, I'm used to it."
In companionable silence, the two of them continued through the forest, skirting the village that still smoked from having been razed a few days before. Tessa had cautioned Kirsen against going that way at all, so they'd been sticking to the woods and moving very quietly.
He glanced at the girl, a frown crossing his face briefly. What was he going to do with her? She didn't know where they were going. She just insisted that they had to be somewhere soon, and the longer it took to get where they were going, the more antsy she became. He tried to calm her down, but she was getting more stressed by the day and it was rubbing off on him.
When they finally broke from the cover of the forest, he shifted so that he was between her and the bigger dangers posed by the wide-open fields. He had no idea what could see them, and he hated the inlands for that reason alone. "All right, Tessa?" he asked.
"Further west," she replied. He altered his course, and she nodded in satisfaction.
And they moved onwards.

V i c t o r i a x d e x C a u x x x xVictoria de Caux, sat on a small, white, stool she had carried with her in front of a tree. The shading from the leaves would help to keep her skin nice and pale, as was promoted by her mother. These precautions has grown on her, and she no longer questioned or secretly objected to this.
x x x Her left hand supported the book with which she had a sheet of paper. Her left hand held a quill pen and bottle of ink, both skillfully held from practice between her fingers. As she began to get comfortable - but not too comfortable so that it was visible to public eyes if there were any - she scanned the area for a perfect spot to focus on to draw. The area was scattered with bushes and trees: it was a nice opportunity to focus on shading.

Maverick finally stopped pacing for a moment, he walked over to his window. He stared outside his window and looked outwardly at the land. He thought it looked so peaceful and the sunny day was so contradictory to the anxiety he felt and the skirmishes that seemed to be erupting everywhere. He sighed before he headed over to his bed, sitting on it as he began to try to think of a way to clean up this entire mess.

They had crossed the field without incident, but Kirsen had the uneasy feeling that someone was watching. When he turned and asked Tessa about it, she looked thoughtful for a second, but then just smiled and put a hand on his arm, patting it lightly. "It will be well, Kirsen. For now," she replied. And because he trusted her absolutely, he took a breath and tried to calm down. Tessa refused to read his future or her own, but she could read the possibilities in a scenario almost as well. If she said there was nothing to worry about for now, then he believed her.
"Which way now?" he asked when they reached the next stand of forest. This one was thicker, a little more foreboding, and Tessa wrinkled her nose. "Not in there," she said. "Around."
Kirsen sighed. "Are you sure, Tessa? Going around is going to add hours to the travel time, maybe a full day." He saw her eyes grow worried; it was easy to see the debate she was having with herself. He felt bad - there was probably a good reason for what she was saying - but she seemed so sure that they needed to be somewhere soon. Finally, she looked back up at him.
"Will we be in there when night falls, if we enter right now and do not stop?"
He frowned thoughtfully, looking at the forest. "Well, it's just morning now," he replied. "We have most of the day." In truth, he wouldn't like to go a full day without any stops at all. Tessa didn't sleep well, and if she didn't sleep, neither did he - her visions were at their most active at night, and she often woke up either screaming or sobbing before taking off into the woods for an hour or two. The short breaks they took during the day were when he coaxed her into resting.
But if Tessa thought it was important that they be out before night fell...
"Probably," he decided. "If we move quickly."
She tilted her head, and her eyes went misty and dreamy. Kirsen waited patiently for a minute or two. When she tensed up, he put one hand lightly over her mouth so that she wouldn't attract any predators if the vision set her off, and he started talking. "It's okay, Tess. It's okay. Whatever you see isn't real. Listen. It's fine." She shuddered and shook, but she was hearing him, and that meant she wasn't going to freak out, so he removed his hand. "Tessa?"
She shivered once, then looked him in the eye. "We will lose the time. We go around."
When she used that tone, Kirsen didn't argue. "Okay. Which way?"
She pointed, still too upset to give him proper directions. With a nod, he turned, and they started walking again. Kirsen wondered what she'd seen, but he didn't like to ask. Whatever it was, it had scared her enough that she'd decided to take the extra several hours - at a time when she felt that every minute counted - and that was enough to make Kirsen nervous. Maybe he was better off not knowing, but not for the first time, he was thankful that she could see it.
The wary glances she was shooting at the trees as they walked at the forest's edge, skirting around it, made him rest one hand on his sword hilt so that he could get it out fast if there was a need.
"C'mon, Tessa," he said when she slowed down, hesitating, as they were about to round the first bend. "What is it?"
She shot one look at the heavy tree cover and moved up to walk closer to him. "Nothing," she replied at last. But her tone told him that 'nothing' was probably a very big deal. "We should go faster."
