Twenty years after Ash Ketchum became a Pokemon Master, the Kanto region fell to the hands of Team Rocket. Under the guidance of a new leader, Team Rocket took over the Kanto Region, kidnapping trainers, executing those who opposed them, stealing Pokemon from their trainers and killing those who refused to obey. The Gym leaders were defeated and taken from their positions, their Pokemon were killed, and with the gyms gone, they were replaced with harsh overlords to run the cities and towns, to make sure no one would oppose Team Rocket.

Due to the chaos in Kanto, the age that a child could leave and become a trainer was bumped up to sixteen, though many families fled the Kanto region altogether, fearing what would happen if their children became trainers in the violent region. However, after reaching the age of sixteen, many trainers have decided to travel the Kanto region, not for the badges or for the glory, but for justice for their Pokemon friends and to attempt to stop Team Rocket before they can spread their evil to other Regions.

Rules

1. No, you can't just play a Pokemon in this roleplay. This is about the Trainers and their Pokemon.

2. You can carry up to 6 Pokemon at a time. You may also have a Pokemon from any of the ones that currently exist. ((See below for rule about legendaries))

3. You can not own a legendary Pokemon, but you can own one rare Pokemon. Example: Pink Butterfree

4. Romance between trainers, or pokemon is okay, BUT ONLY TO PG13!

5. You can't capture the legendary pokemon, such as Mew or anyone like that. You can become friends with them and see them sometimes, but they can't be caught.

6. NO GODMODDING! THAT MEANS YOUR POKEMON CAN'T BEAT EVERYTHING THAT COMES YOUR WAY! Meaning, you have to loose a battle sometimes.

7. This is a lit rp, which means I expect at least two paragraphs per post. I'll accept shorter posts once in a blue moon if you're stuck, but it better not become a habit. Since this is a lit rp, I expect you to write like it's a story, meaning don't use *this* for actions.

9. PM me profiles and title them, "RIP Marowak" so I know you read the rules.

10. I reserve the right to add rules as I feel necessary.

Name: Amaya Kurokawa

Personality: Amaya has always been pretty quiet, feeling more comfortable around her Pokemon than she is around other people usually. She holds a deep hate for Team Rocket and fights viciously when she or her Pokemon are in trouble. Usually Amaya puts her Pokemon's needs before her own, she is very caring once you get past her tough outer shell.
Bio: Amaya grew up in Lavender town, where her father was the Caretaker of the Pokemon Tower. Her parents always feared what would happen if Team Rocket showed up, and one day, their fears turned to reality. Team Rocket wanted to desecrate a grave in the tower for some reason, but when Amaya's father went to stop them he was blown apart by the Overlord's voltorb. Team Rocket got away, and Amaya's mother took up the task of raising her on her own and taking care of the Pokemon Tower.

After her father's death, Amaya became very withdrawn, spending a lot of time in the Tower where her father had died. It was there that she befriended a Haunter and then spent most of her time playing with her new friend and other ghost Pokemon. When she turned sixteen, Amaya caught Haunter and took him with her, going off on her own journey as a trainer to figure out what Team Rocket came to steal the day her father died, and to try and stop them from killing anyone else.
